HOBOT R3
A decent maintenance cleaner for people with lots of glass, especially high or awkward windows. It cleans routine dirt well, but the price and occasional attachment concerns mean it is not an automatic recommendation.
Owners and testers praise easy control, strong grip and good routine cleaning on dusty windows.
Corners remain imperfect, consumables add cost and at least one independent lab test recorded the robot detaching and being caught by its safety cable.

What reviewers found
CHOICE’s hands-on assessment found useful cleaning on dirty windows, with corner coverage and hands-on setup preventing a completely automatic finish.
Results on the glass
CHOICE found that the R3 removed much of the dirt from its test windows, although patches remained and the circular pads could not thoroughly reach corners. The relevant benefit is reducing the main wiping task, with inspection and some finishing still necessary.

The review describes fitting the cleaning cloths, supplying cleaning liquid and using the remote or app to select a program. Moving the robot between panes remains a manual step. Pads and cleaning solution also belong in the ongoing maintenance budget, rather than treating the purchase price as the only cost.

The R3 operates from mains power. Its emergency battery keeps it attached temporarily after a power interruption; it is not a cordless cleaning battery. CHOICE experienced one detachment during testing, so the safety tether is a practical part of using this model, not an optional substitute for careful placement.
