A compelling vision for a home robot, not a product to buy yet. LG has shown useful domestic demos, but there is no retail availability, independent home testing or evidence that the chore demonstrations generalise outside staged environments.
The concept is unusually focused on real household chores and integration with appliances rather than generic humanoid demonstrations.
There is no price, order route or independent uncontrolled testing, so the gap between CES demonstrations and a dependable home product remains huge.

What the evidence shows
CLOiD’s evidence currently centers on LG’s household-task demonstrations and connected-appliance concept. That does not yet establish what living with a delivered home robot is like.
What LG set out to demonstrate
LG’s CES 2026 announcement describes scenarios such as retrieving milk, placing food in an oven, starting laundry and folding garments. The robot uses a wheeled base and articulated arms within LG’s connected-home ecosystem. These are specific planned demonstration tasks, not an independent test of general household competence.
[1]The missing ownership evidence
The announcement explains how LG intends the robot to coordinate appliances, but does not provide customer uptime, intervention frequency, repair costs or successful operation across varied homes. A staged laundry or kitchen sequence cannot establish that CLOiD will complete an entire household routine unattended. Those practical questions remain open in the evidence checked.
