Saros 10
4 independent reviewsRead the findings →Roborock's previous flagship, built to slip under low furniture. It's a strong pick for homes with pets and carpets. Its vibrating mop is the weak spot, struggling with dried-on stains.

What reviewers found
Home reviews from TechRadar, T3 and Trusted Reviews cover it, along with a Vacuum Wars comparison against the Saros 10R and ten months of use in TechRadar's ten-month follow-up. Reviewers like how it gets under low furniture and how easy the dock is to live with. Pet hair is backed by both a controlled test and a long stretch at home. Stain removal and dodging small objects are where results split. The long-term piece is more time in one home, not another independent outlet.

Hard floors
Reviewers rate it highlyVacuum Wars found its pickup on hard floors well above average, T3 saw it collect every bit of oats, pasta and cereal, and Trusted Reviews rated its edge cleaning along a kitchen plinth excellent.
Carpet and rugs
Reviewers rate it highlyTrusted Reviews saw a flour spill on carpet almost entirely gone, its best result yet, and Vacuum Wars rated carpet pickup well above average. TechRadar only got good results on the highest power setting, so turn it up for deep carpet.
Pet hair
Not enough evidenceVacuum Wars found no long hair wrapped around the brush and measured pet-hair pickup similar to the Saros 10R. TechRadar’s ten-month home follow-up is positive about pet hair too, so a lab test and ten months at home point the same way.
Mopping
Mixed resultsIt needs the stronger settings. Vacuum Wars found it weak on dried stains while leaving very little water, and TechRadar saw ketchup barely touched on Standard. Trusted Reviews cleared tough stains with the advanced settings turned on.
Navigation and obstacles
Mixed resultsT3 found it the most accurate obstacle avoider it had tested, and Vacuum Wars rated it well above average. TechRadar had it chew a cable and try to eat a sock, so keep small items off the floor.
Dock and upkeep
Reviewers rate it highlyVacuum Wars said the dock has everything you could want, from hot mop washing to detergent dosing. Trusted Reviews found it nicer to use than the Saros 10R's, and it can leave the mop behind for carpet-only runs.
App and software
Reviewers rate it highlyT3 said no other robot vacuum app comes close for depth and ease of use, Trusted Reviews called it excellent with quick mapping, and Vacuum Wars counts it among its favourites.
Noise
Mixed resultsTrusted Reviews measured 62.6dB on maximum and called it extremely quiet. TechRadar found it a little noisy when vacuuming, about like a normal vacuum, but very quiet when only mopping.
Reliability and support
Not enough evidenceTechRadar's ten-month follow-up reports ten months of regular home use with few rescues and a dock that kept working. That's a follow-up from an outlet already counted here and one home, so it's a good sign rather than proof, and nobody has tested support.
Value
Mixed resultsTrusted Reviews felt its performance justified the high price. Vacuum Wars prefers the Saros 10R, which mopped and avoided obstacles better at the same or a similar price.
Verdicts come from independent, hands-on, finished reviews. An area needs at least two of them before we say more than “Not enough evidence”. We don't score robots ourselves. How this works
Reaches places other robots can't
TechRadar found the pop-down turret worked exactly as promised, though only under furniture between about 8.2cm and 11.4cm off the floor. Trusted Reviews watched it clean under an awkward corner sofa and come back out, and crossed a threshold divider with ease. Vacuum Wars saw it clear 20mm and 26mm thresholds. Measure your sofa gap: that narrow window decides whether the turret matters to you.
Strong on hair and carpet
Living with a cocker spaniel, TechRadar's ten-month follow-up found it pulled the vast majority of hair from carpets over ten months, and the dock never clogged. Trusted Reviews saw a flour spill on carpet almost entirely gone, its best result yet. TechRadar's first tea-and-oats test disappointed in Turbo mode and only came good on Max+. Expect great everyday pickup, and turn the power up for deep carpet.
Dried stains can need repeated passes
Vacuum Wars measured below-average dried-stain removal, with little water left on the floor. TechRadar saw a dried ketchup mark barely touched on Standard, while Trusted Reviews shifted ketchup with advanced stain settings and four passes. T3 cleared milk and soy sauce in one pass. Stronger settings may help, but don't expect every stain to go in one run. Leaving floors barely damp is a good sign for wood, but check your floor maker's advice.
Avoidance results vary by tester
T3 called it the most accurate obstacle avoider it had tested, dodging even a small nylon dog bone. TechRadar had a very different run: it tried to eat a sock, chewed a cable and pushed a tissue box around. Vacuum Wars scored it 21 out of 24, well above average but behind the 10R. Different test objects may explain some of the gap. Either way, keep cables and socks off the floor.
Ten months without fuss
In TechRadar's ten-month follow-up, the robot ran every other night for ten months and got lost or stuck only a handful of times. Mop drop-off and dock cleaning kept working. TechRadar also found the battery impressive and the fast charge accurate. That's one home, not a failure rate, but it's more long-term evidence than most robots have.
Our take
Should you buy the Saros 10?
Best for: Carpeted homes with a pet that sheds. Skip it if: Dried kitchen stains are your main cleaning problem.
Consider the Saros 10 for pet-hair pickup and low furniture. If stubborn kitchen stains are your priority, the Saros 10R performed better in Vacuum Wars’ comparison. For raised doorway thresholds, compare measured crossings and the manufacturer’s obstacle limits; a multi-step height claim is not stair-climbing ability.
The Saros 10 was Roborock's main flagship, alongside the Saros 10R, until the Saros 20 arrived. Its sensor on top sinks into the body when it senses a low gap, so the robot drops to 7.98cm and can clean under cabinets and sofas that stop most robots. It also lifts its body over doorway thresholds, and the dock can keep the mop behind for vacuum-only runs. It mops with a single flat pad that vibrates, rather than the spinning pads on the Saros 10R.
Every tester rated the hard-floor cleaning highly, and Trusted Reviews saw a flour spill on carpet almost entirely gone, its best result yet. TechRadar's ten-month follow-up found it pulled most of a cocker spaniel's hair from carpets, and the robot got stuck only a handful of times in all that use. The mop needs its stronger settings. Vacuum Wars found it weak on dried stains, TechRadar saw ketchup barely touched on Standard, and Trusted Reviews got the same stain off only with the advanced settings turned on. On obstacles, T3 called it the most accurate avoider it had tested, but TechRadar had it chew a cable and try to eat a sock. Vacuum Wars prefers the Saros 10R, which mopped and avoided obstacles better at a similar price.

The questions people ask about this one
Does it fit under low furniture?
Often. With the turret lowered it's 7.98cm tall, per the specifications. TechRadar points out the pop-down only matters for gaps between about 8.2cm and 11.4cm; under that it can't fit, and above it the turret stays up anyway.
Can it leave the mops in the dock for carpet?
Yes. Trusted Reviews and T3 both saw the mop plate stay in the dock for vacuum-only cleaning. The pad can also lift while attached, but that won't clear every rug. For a vacuum-only run, leave it docked so no wet pad touches the carpet, and pick suitable carpet settings for combined cleaning.
Will it avoid cables and pet waste?
Don't rely on it to. TechRadar’s Saros 10 chewed a charging cable and tried to hoover up a sock, even though other tests went better. Clear cables before it runs and check for pet accidents first, because a good obstacle test won't cover every situation in your home.
Can it cross rugs and raised thresholds between rooms?
Well. Trusted Reviews saw it keep moving and vacuuming on a deep-pile rug, and it crossed a threshold divider without being told where it was. Roborock claims 3cm for a single step and 4cm for a double step, per the specifications.
Alternatives
Other robot vacuums to compare.

Saros 10R
Why consider it: Lab tests found excellent hard-floor pickup right into the edges, strong mopping and very dependable obstacle avoidance.
The compromise: A lab test found its brush leaves a lot of embedded pet hair in carpet.

Saros 20
£99.01 more than the Saros 10
Why consider it: Roborock's newer flagship drops the turret altogether and is praised for hard floors and low furniture.
The compromise: Reviews split on its carpet cleaning and on obstacle avoidance.

Omni S2
£499.01 more than the Saros 10
Why consider it: Strong carpet and hair pickup, with a perfect obstacle score in Vacuum Wars' test.
The compromise: Mop results are divided and one reviewer's unit failed after a month.

X50 Ultra Complete
£140.99 less than the Saros 10
Why consider it: It also has a retracting tower for low sofas and climbs raised transitions well.
The compromise: Lab results were more modest on fine dust and edges, and stains took repeated passes.

Roborock Saros 10R vs Saros 10
Our verdict: Pick the Saros 10 if you want the lighter, drier mop and slightly quicker navigation. Pick the 10R if dried stains and clutter matter more: in Vacuum Wars' side-by-side test it scrubbed far better and scored a perfect obstacle result.
