What reviewers found
PCWorld’s standard S2 test found very good debris collection despite an apparently erratic route. It is a useful reminder that a tidy-looking path and a clean pool are not the same thing.
Results better than the route suggests
The tester saw frequent pauses and changes of direction, yet reported strong collection of both natural debris and test leaves by the end. Wall and waterline scrubbing also impressed. Judge a complete cycle rather than assuming unusual movement alone means failure.
[1]The extra filter matters
Fine-grit collection benefited from the secondary filter, which was supplied separately in the box rather than installed. The standard basket and the additional filter perform different jobs, so check the configuration before comparing results on dust and sand.
[1]Retrieval and endurance
The S2 parked near a wall and drained quickly after hook retrieval. Runtime fell short of the advertised maximum in PCWorld’s test.
