Bob Vila used the robot regularly in a Florida pool beneath trees and reported good wall, floor and waterline cleaning. Its routine still included a separate floating skimmer. An owner replacing a Polaris 9550 also reported faster removal of post-storm floor debris, although that is an individual comparison rather than a controlled ranking.

The independent test found that stairs still needed attention. Wall climbing and waterline brushing reduced work, but did not clean the entire tile area above the water. This is a meaningful distinction if your most visible dirt collects on entrance steps or a wide exposed tile band.

The owner particularly valued being able to run a Betta skimmer without a cleaner cable getting caught in its impeller. They found the AquaSense basket smaller than their previous robot’s. The convenience gain is therefore about removing cable management, with basket checks still important after a heavy storm.
