A small, battery-powered robot mower for tiny lawns that needs no wire, no app and no charging dock. Both testers found it about as easy as robot mowing gets, but it stops short of the lawn edge.

The short version
The VISIMOW is Bosch's current robot mower, and it's a very different idea from the Indego it replaced. There's no boundary wire, no app and no dock. You clip in a standard Bosch 18V power-tool battery, set it on the grass and press three buttons, and a camera works out what's lawn and what isn't. The 18V-100 is for lawns up to 100m² and the 18V-200 handles up to 200m² with a slightly wider cut.
What you get is a mower you can use straight out of the box and keep on a shelf. What you give up is most of what a normal robot mower does on its own. It doesn't go back to charge, so you carry it in and charge the battery. It wanders at random rather than in neat rows, and it leaves a strip round the edge.
Bosch sells it with or without a battery and charger, so check which kit you're buying.
Our take: Buy it if your lawn is small and simple, you already own Bosch 18V batteries, and you want something you can set going without laying wire or installing an app. Expert Reviews and Ideal Home both rated it highly for exactly that. If you want a mower that looks after itself for weeks, docking and recharging on its own, a wire-free model such as the eufy E15 does far more, and a wired GARDENA SILENO minimo is a fully automatic option for small lawns.

What reviewers found
Two reviewers tested the 18V-100, and both liked it. Expert Reviews used it on several lawns over about two months and gave it a Best Buy for how easy it is to use and how well it avoided beds and paths, but it left a wide uncut strip round the edge and got stuck in a sharp dip. Ideal Home tested it on a 38m² lawn and gave it 4 out of 5, praising the even cut and simple setup, though it found obstacle avoidance slower than pricier mowers. Nobody has tested the 18V-200 yet.

Out of the box in minutes
Both reviewers found setup about as simple as it gets. You charge the battery, clip it in, pick a cutting height on the dial and press three numbered buttons. Ideal Home called it the easiest robot mower it had unpacked, and setup a breeze, and Expert Reviews called it spectacularly easy, adding that it's light enough for older or less mobile gardeners to carry. If laying wire or wrestling with an app is what's put you off robot mowers, this removes both.
Sees what isn't grass
Bosch fits a camera, ultrasonic sensors and bump sensors, per the specifications. Expert Reviews found it steered clear of a box hedge, a concrete path and a rockery, and stopped at brown patches and a manhole cover. Ideal Home saw it never hit fixed borders and cover more of the margins round stepping stones than other mowers it had tested. It was slower with surprises, though: a cap thrown in front of it sometimes got a gentle bump before it stopped and turned.
Edges are the main compromise
Expert Reviews found a band of longer grass 20 to 30cm wide left round the perimeter, so it finished the edges with a normal mower. Ideal Home also found it didn't quite reach the outer edges, though it called the rest of the cut one of the most even it had seen from a robot mower. Neither found stripes, because it wanders at random. On a small lawn the edge is a big share of the grass, so plan for that extra job.
Short grass, gentle slopes
Expert Reviews found it cut cleanly without scalping, but it works best taking about 10mm at a time and needs grass under about 80mm to begin with. Bosch rates it for 35% slopes, per the specifications, yet it had to be rescued a couple of times from a sharp dip on one test lawn. Ideal Home's lawn was level. Give the grass a trim first, and watch its first few runs if your lawn has a steep dip.
Slow, and you carry it to charge
There's no dock, so it can't recharge itself. Expert Reviews found a 60m² lawn took about 90 minutes to cover, and a 4.0Ah battery mowed a 30m² lawn to a high standard before running flat. Ideal Home found its 38m² lawn took around an hour, slower than pricier mowers, and struggled to pull the battery out afterwards. It also notes software updates need a USB stick. The battery fits other Power for All tools, per the specifications.
Both reviews cover the VISIMOW18V-100. The 18V-200 shares the camera and sensors but has a wider cut and a larger rated area; it hasn't been independently reviewed yet.

Does it need a boundary wire?
No. It uses a camera with ultrasonic and bump sensors to tell lawn from everything else, per the specifications. Expert Reviews found it avoided paths, hedges and a rockery on its own, and Ideal Home saw it steer round stepping stones, with no wire and no app.
How close does it cut to the edge?
Not all the way. Expert Reviews found a 20 to 30cm band of longer grass left round the lawn, and Ideal Home also found the outer edges uncut. You'll need to finish them with another mower or a trimmer.
Will it cope with my slope?
Bosch rates it for 35%, per the specifications, but Expert Reviews had to fetch it a couple of times when it got stuck in a sharp dip. Bosch's manual asks for a raised border along steeper drops, Ideal Home notes.
Does it charge itself?
No. There's no dock, so you carry it in and charge the removable 18V battery, per the specifications. Expert Reviews found a 4.0Ah battery mowed a 30m² lawn before running flat, and Ideal Home found the battery fiddly to remove.
How noisy is it for neighbours?
Very quiet, both reviewers say. Ideal Home quotes 52dB and calls it the quietest robot mower it has tested, while Expert Reviews quotes 44dBA. Neither says it measured the figure, and Bosch's UK page in the the specifications doesn't list one.
