Moflin is best understood as a responsive soft companion. Its appeal is touch, small movements and sounds; it is not a talking robot or a source of practical assistance.
A tactile kind of interaction
Country Living’s loan-unit test describes the attraction of holding the little creature and watching its moods in the app. The reviewer also noticed its sounds at night. That makes personal tolerance for repeated noises part of the experience, even with such a small device.

Casio explicitly says Moflin does not understand or record speech. It uses voice characteristics to recognise familiar speakers. The emotional language in the marketing describes the robot’s behaviour system, rather than a conversational intelligence that can follow your story or answer questions.

Casio describes a charging bed, about five hours of use under its stated conditions and roughly three and a half hours to recharge. Fur care involves gentle brushing and wiping. The app can adjust sound and show battery state. Our view is to choose it for the cuddling experience itself, without assuming clinical benefits from the marketing.
