RTINGS found very effective debris pickup and exceptional dried-stain removal. Vacuum Wars was also positive about general cleaning but observed the side brush scattering debris on hard floors. For ordinary dirt, the combination looks useful; a large spill of dry crumbs may need another pass because scattered material can end up outside the first route.

RTINGS reported complete removal in its dried-stain test, whereas Vacuum Wars’ own stain assessment was less favourable. The roller design is therefore not enough to promise the same result in every kitchen. The useful conclusion is that the X8 can perform strongly on hard floors, while difficult dried marks still deserve a check after cleaning.

RTINGS found hair left behind on carpet in standard operation, with a significant improvement using deeper, repeated passes. Vacuum Wars’ hair results were more encouraging. That makes scheduling and time part of the decision: a stronger result may require a longer run rather than the default quick clean. Test the modes on your rugs before relying on a daily schedule.

Vacuum Wars found smaller obstacles a weak point and noted the small onboard dustbin. RTINGS also identified substantial maintenance despite the capable station. The dock reduces routine bin emptying and roller washing, but does not eliminate cleaning and inspection. Our reading favours a hard-floor-heavy home with a reasonably clear route and an owner willing to maintain the water system.
