Kress EyePilot 4x4 KR280E
A specialist mower for steep and rough small-to-medium lawns, where true four-wheel drive matters more than edge-cutting extras. The traction hardware looks excellent, but there is not enough owner history yet to judge software maturity.
Four independently driven wheels, articulated axles and RTK-plus-vision positioning make it unusually capable on slopes and uneven ground.
The KR280E lacks ZeroTrim, costs far more than ordinary 800m² mowers and still has very little long-term independent ownership evidence.

What the evidence shows
The KR280E is designed around traction on difficult ground, but its ambitious slope and turf-protection claims are not yet backed here by an identified owner test. Reports about other EyePilot 4x4 capacities need to remain separate.
Terrain hardware versus demonstrated results
Kress documents four driven wheels, front steering and an articulated body for this 800m² model. The source explains the design, but does not independently show whether turns avoid scuffing soft grass or whether the mower maintains a uniform cut across a real uneven lawn. The advertised maximum slope is not a wet-weather field result.

The reviewed material does not establish obstacle recognition, daily intervention or service experience for the KR280E itself. Complaints naming the larger KR285E are not evidence of the same result on this machine. An exact-model garden test would be needed before describing its traction or software as proven.
