What reviewers found
Hands-on tests disagree about cleaning completeness, but agree that the E1 is comparatively manageable and simple to maintain. Fine filtration and limited app functionality are clearer compromises than the brand’s broader reputation.
Different cleaning verdicts
PCWorld reported effective floor and waterline work and successful movement around its ladder and steps. WIRED found more ordinary results in standard mode and shorter-than-promised running sessions. Neither result should be hidden: the E1 has demonstrated useful cleaning, but a consistently complete cycle is not established across the reviewed pools.

PCWorld found the standard basket suitable for larger everyday debris but noted that the finest pollen could pass through. Its easy rinsing partly reflects that relatively coarse filtration. If your problem is a fine dusty coating rather than visible leaves, this limitation is more relevant than the headline suction figure.

PCWorld liked the compact body, quick draining and top-access basket. Recharging uses a cable rather than a stand. Both reviews found the app limited; it should not be mistaken for live underwater control. Their positive handling observations describe convenience, not evidence that the charging system will last for years.
