What reviewers found
The RV20 Max Plus provides useful mapped vacuuming and automatic emptying in a relatively compact package. Its simpler mop and vulnerability to low furniture and loose objects keep it closer to a daily vacuuming assistant than a fully autonomous floor washer.
A useful fit for smaller homes
TechPrincess’s extended home test praised straightforward mapping, quiet operation and everyday dust and hair pickup. The low robot and compact dock were convenient in limited space. The reviewer also tested a pet-owning neighbour’s home, but this does not establish deep carpet performance across different households.

In that test, the front could enter a low gap before the wheels became stuck; setting an exclusion area solved the repeated problem. Drying racks, moved objects and shoelaces also required attention. Mapping a room successfully is different from navigating every temporary obstruction inside it.

The reviewer found the flat pad useful for routine wiping, but less effective against stubborn greasy marks. Tapo confirms adjustable water flow and carpet avoidance in mopping mode. Since the pad does not lift, a combined run does not offer the same seamless carpet-and-hard-floor cleaning as a lifting-mop model.

Automatic emptying worked well in the home review. Tapo specifies a bagged dust dock; it does not wash the mop or refill the robot’s water tank. Expect to remove and wash the pad yourself and maintain the brush, filter and sensors. The convenience is strongest when vacuuming is the main regular chore.
