The short version
The Quantum is one of Dolphin's US online-channel robots, sold through certified web dealers, and sits above the Cayman. It plugs into the mains, scrubs the floor, walls and waterline with two active brushes over a two-hour cycle, and has a weekly timer and a swivel to stop the cable twisting. Maytronics rates it for in-ground and above-ground pools up to 50 feet and puts an ultra-fine filter in the box.
The trade-off is that there's no app on the listing Maytronics shows, and no independent test.
Be clear which version you're buying. Some dealers sell a 2026 'Quantum Pro' with a Wi-Fi power supply and app control; the Maytronics US listing for this model says no app.
Our take: On paper it's a well-equipped corded robot for a larger in-ground pool, but nobody independent has tested it yet. If you want a Dolphin with test results behind it, the Dolphin Premier also scrubs the waterline and has a leaf bag option. For a cheaper floor-and-walls robot that independent testers liked, look at the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus.

We found no independent hands-on test of the Quantum. The Pool Nerd spent a few weeks with a 2026 'Quantum Pro' in its test pool, but it's linked to a Dolphin dealer, so it doesn't count here, and it tested a Wi-Fi version that the Maytronics (US) listing doesn't describe. It praises the basket, the fine filters, the swivel and the way it climbed steps and a shallow ledge. Everything else comes from the maker's listing.

Which Quantum is which
The Maytronics (US) listing for the Quantum (99996203-SPLSW) shows a weekly timer but no app. The Pool Nerd tested what it calls the 2026 Quantum Pro, which comes with a Wi-Fi power supply and the MyDolphin Plus app, and says the rest of the robot is the same. If app control matters to you, check the exact version before you buy.
Walls, waterline and steps
Maytronics lists floor, walls and waterline, per Maytronics (US). The Pool Nerd saw it scrub straight up the wall and along the waterline, and found it climbed tiled steps and a shallow sun ledge, then came back down. It called that step cleaning not perfect, but better than most robots it has tried. That's one dealer-linked test in one pool.
Filters and cable
An ultra-fine filter comes in the box alongside the standard one, per Maytronics (US), and the basket lifts out of the top. The Pool Nerd found the big basket handled heavy debris and rates the fine filters highly. The cable has a swivel, which The Pool Nerd says keeps coverage from suffering as the cord twists over time.

Lift the basket out of the top and rinse it, per the specifications. A fine and an ultra-fine filter come in the box; The Pool Nerd found the finer one caught particles the standard filter missed.
