An older mid-range ECOVACS vacuum and mop with a full self-cleaning dock and a pad that swings out to reach skirting boards. It mops stains very well, but long hair still wraps round the brush.

The short version
The T30S belongs to ECOVACS's mid-range T30 family, the generation before the T50 robots. The dock empties the bin into a bag, washes the two spinning mop pads in hot water, dries them with warm air and refills the robot. One pad slides out towards walls and corners as it goes, and the pads lift off the floor when it finds a rug.
Its strength is hard floors and stains. The trade-offs are an average showing on deep carpet, a brush that still tangles with long hair, and a laser turret that makes it over 10cm tall. The T30S Combo adds a cordless handheld vacuum that docks in the station and empties there too.
ECOVACS's own stores now list it as out of stock, and the newer T50 family has followed it, so expect to find it at clearance prices from other retailers, if at all.
Our take: Worth buying at a clearance price if your floors are mostly hard, you want a dock that looks after the mops, and your sofas sit high enough to clear a laser turret. If you have long-haired people or pets and a lot of carpet, the T50 Pro Omni handled hair far better in testing and is much lower. If the handheld appeals, the Combo is the same robot with a stick vacuum added.

What reviewers found
Two tests. Vacuum Wars bought a T30S and ran it through its studio measurements; Pickr lived with the T30S Combo, which is the same robot plus a handheld vacuum. Vacuum Wars found it excellent on hard floors and stains, average on deep carpet and edges, and poor at stopping hair wrapping. Pickr liked the dock and the Combo's shared dust bin but had to re-run mapping several times. Both come out positive, and Pickr scored it 4.3 out of 5.

Excellent on hard floors and stains
Vacuum Wars found it picked up everything from fine dust to large debris on hard floors, and it cleared dried coffee and grape juice stains remarkably well. The extending pad helps along walls and in corners, and the dock washes the pads in hot water after each job. For a kitchen and hallways of tile or wood, this is what it does best.
Average on deep carpet
Vacuum Wars measured slightly below-average results pulling embedded sand out of carpet, and only about average in its crevice test, despite the high suction figure. Everyday crumbs and dust on carpet were no problem. If most of your home is thick carpet, a robot with stronger carpet results, such as the T50 Pro Omni, is the better bet.
Long hair still wraps
ECOVACS sells the brush as tangle-resistant, but Vacuum Wars found it wasn't very effective in its hair-wrap test. The comb may clear some hair over several runs rather than straight away. If you have long-haired people or pets in the house, expect to cut hair off the brush now and then, or look at a newer model with better results.
Mapping took several attempts
Pickr had to re-run the map several times before it understood one part of the home, which it says wasn't complicated. Once mapped, Vacuum Wars recorded one of the most efficient cleaning patterns it had measured, and obstacle avoidance slightly better than the older X2 Omni. Pickr found the app had bugs and the voice assistant not quite ironed out.
The Combo's handheld and big dock
Pickr tested the Combo and loved that the station empties the handheld's dust into the same bag as the robot's, so there's only one bin to deal with. The handheld isn't as powerful as a Dyson, and the station doesn't store every accessory. Pickr also lists the size of the base station as a downside, so measure your space first.

The questions people ask about this one
Does it fit under low furniture?
Only if there's a good gap. ECOVACS lists the robot at 104mm tall including its laser turret, per the specifications, so you need a little over 10cm of clearance. The newer T50 Pro Omni is around 8cm if low sofas matter.
How does it handle rugs and door bars?
The pads lift about 9mm when it senses carpet, per Vacuum Wars, and suction goes up on rugs, per the specifications. ECOVACS rates it for thresholds of about 2cm with the mops on. Neither tester measured climbing, so check anything taller than a standard door bar.
How often do I have to empty or refill anything?
Not often. The dock empties the bin into a 3-litre bag and holds 4 litres of clean water and 3.5 litres of dirty water, per the specifications. With the Combo, Pickr found the station empties the handheld into the same bag, so you only change one.
How big is the dock, and is it loud?
It's 394 × 443 × 527.5mm, per the specifications, and Pickr lists the big base station as a downside. ECOVACS quotes 65dBA while vacuuming and 78dBA while the dock empties the bin, so the emptying is noticeably louder than the cleaning.
Will it avoid cables and pet mess?
It does reasonably well for its age. Vacuum Wars found its obstacle avoidance slightly better than the older X2 Omni in its tests, using a structured-light sensor rather than a camera. That's no guarantee with thin cables or pet accidents, so clear the floor first.
