C15 Robot Lawn Mower
3 independent reviewsRead the findings →eufy's smallest camera-guided mower, with no wire and no aerial. It's about as easy to set up as robot mowers get, and good at avoiding things. It prefers flat, tidy lawns, though, and leaves some edge to trim.

What reviewers found
Three completed tests, all in 2026, agree the C15 is one of the easiest mowers to get going: it maps the lawn itself and starts quickly. Expert Reviews, Notebookcheck and Les Numériques all found it good at avoiding objects. All three say it wants an even, regularly cut lawn with clear borders, and slopes aren't its strength. The edges split them: Expert Reviews saw a strip of about 5 to 10cm, Notebookcheck 10 to 20cm along raised borders.

Cut quality and edges
Mixed resultsOn evenly grown grass, Expert Reviews got a tidy finish and Les Numériques a clean, regular cut. Edges need trimming: Expert Reviews saw about 5 to 10cm left, and Notebookcheck 10 to 20cm along raised borders.
Setup and boundaries
Reviewers rate it highlyIt maps itself with no wire or aerial. Expert Reviews saw it trace the borders perfectly first time, and Notebookcheck called it very beginner-friendly. There's no hand-drawn mapping, so lawns open to a neighbour's need no-go zones.
Navigation
Mixed resultsNotebookcheck found it followed its path reliably, and Expert Reviews saw efficient straight runs on even grass. Tall growth throws it: dandelions made it wander until the battery ran out for Expert Reviews, and Les Numériques saw it skip long, dense patches.
Slopes and rough ground
Reviewers found problemsIt's not a climber. Notebookcheck found its climbing limited, Expert Reviews saw wheel slip and recommends it for flat lawns, and Les Numériques noticed marks where it spun its wheels.
Obstacles and safety
Reviewers rate it highlyNotebookcheck found obstacle detection completely reliable, including a dummy hedgehog, a hose and a tennis ball, and Les Numériques also saw it steer round a tennis ball. Expert Reviews called its avoidance excellent. Watch out for drops beside raised edges.
Weather
Not enough evidenceNone of the reviews we use has tested it in the rain or on wet grass yet.
App and software
Reviewers rate it highlyExpert Reviews found the app easy and friendly, with zones, schedules and a live view, though it asked for a lot of firmware updates. Notebookcheck also liked it, finding map management simple but suited to an entry-level mower.
Upkeep
Not enough evidenceNone of the reviews we use has covered blade changes or cleaning yet.
Reliability and support
Not enough evidenceNone of the reviews we use has reported on long-term reliability or judged eufy's support. Expert Reviews used it for a couple of months.
Value
Reviewers rate it highlyNotebookcheck was impressed given its low price, though rivals are catching up. Expert Reviews says it isn't cheap, but its obstacle avoidance saves you add-ons a rival needs.
Verdicts come from independent, hands-on, finished reviews. An area needs at least two of them before we say more than “Not enough evidence”. We don't score robots ourselves. How this works
Maps itself, but can't be corrected
There's no wire, aerial or hand-driven mapping lap. Expert Reviews found it traced the borders perfectly first time and could map and mow at once. Mapping took Les Numériques 15 to 20 minutes, and Notebookcheck about 50 minutes for a 250m² garden. The catch is that you can't draw the map by hand. Lawns enclosed on all sides were no problem for Notebookcheck, but where a lawn runs straight into a neighbour's garden you'll need no-go zones as a workaround.
Very good at dodging things
Notebookcheck found obstacle detection completely reliable, including a dummy hedgehog, a piece of hose and a tennis ball, which many pricier mowers miss. Les Numériques also saw it steer round a tennis ball, and Expert Reviews called its avoidance very good. It isn't perfect with drops: it slipped a few centimetres over a 10cm stone edge for Notebookcheck, and got stuck by a small concrete ledge for Les Numériques when set to cross borders.
Best on even, regularly cut grass
On evenly grown grass, Expert Reviews saw long, efficient straight runs and a tidy finish, and Les Numériques found the cut regular and clean. Tall growth is where it falters. Dandelions made it wander for Expert Reviews, and the battery ran out before the lawn was done. Les Numériques saw it hesitate at or skip long, dense patches, which is why eufy tells you to cut the grass below 9cm before its first run.
Expect to trim the edges
The disc sits in the middle, so some grass stays along walls and raised borders. Expert Reviews found it cut close, leaving about 5 to 10cm, plus a clump round a washing-line pole. Notebookcheck saw a good 10 to 20cm left where the border wasn't at ground level, and Les Numériques a small strip along walls. An app setting lets it run over flush edges by up to 15cm, but Notebookcheck notes it applies to a whole zone.
Not a climber
eufy rates it for 32.5% slopes, less than the E15 and E18. Expert Reviews said it's the one to choose for a flat lawn, but a hilly garden might be a different story, and Notebookcheck also found its climbing limited. On dry grass Expert Reviews saw some wheel slip, plus a false lift alarm on a scorched patch that stopped the mowing until someone pressed resume. Les Numériques noticed it left a few marks where it spun its wheels.
All three reviewers tested the C15 itself. Expert Reviews ran it on several lawns over a couple of months in summer 2026.
Our take
Should you buy the C15 Robot Lawn Mower?
Best for: Small, flat lawns with clear borders. Skip it if: Your lawn is steep, soft or full of bumps.
buy it for a small, fairly flat lawn with clear borders if you want the least fuss possible. The eufy E15 covers more ground and climbs better, and the TerraMow V1000 is another camera-only mower that maps itself.
The C15 is the entry point to eufy's wire-free mowers. It steers by cameras alone, so there's no boundary wire and no satellite aerial. You put the dock down and it explores the lawn and draws its own map. Cutting height is set with a dial on the mower, you can't draw the map by hand, and mobile data is an optional add-on rather than built in.
All three testers found it one of the easiest mowers to start. Expert Reviews saw it trace the borders perfectly first time, and Notebookcheck called it very beginner-friendly. Obstacle avoidance impressed everyone. Notebookcheck found it completely reliable, including with a dummy hedgehog, a hose and a tennis ball, and Expert Reviews called it excellent. It wants a flat, evenly cut lawn. Dandelions made it wander until the battery ran out for Expert Reviews, Les Numériques saw it skip long, dense patches, and Expert Reviews saw wheel slip and recommends it for flat lawns. Edges need trimming, with Expert Reviews seeing about 5 to 10cm left and Notebookcheck more than that along raised borders.
Before you buy
The questions people ask about this one
Does it need a boundary wire or an aerial?
Neither. It uses cameras to recognise the lawn and map it, per the specifications. Expert Reviews had it mowing within minutes, but there's no manual mapping, so Notebookcheck and Les Numériques found lawns without clear edges need extra no-go zones.
Will it cope with my slope?
Only gentle ones. eufy rates it for 32.5% (18°), per the specifications, below the 40% of its bigger siblings. Expert Reviews recommends it for flat lawns and warns hillside gardens may be different, and Notebookcheck also found its climbing limited.
Can it handle two lawns or a narrow passage?
Yes, within one map. It holds a single map, but you can add zones joined by paths, per Notebookcheck. Les Numériques had to try twice before it would cross a bare, patchy stretch to a second lawn, so link areas with a grassy path where you can.
How close does it cut to the edge?
Not all the way. Expert Reviews saw about 5 to 10cm left at the borders, while Notebookcheck measured 10 to 20cm along raised edges. Where the border is flush, a setting lets it run over the edge, but Notebookcheck notes it applies to a whole zone. Keep a strimmer handy.
Is there a subscription for 4G or anti-theft?
The C15 works over Wi-Fi without mobile data. eufy says 4G is an optional add-on module for this model, built in only on the E15 and E18, per eufy. Les Numériques listed the lack of theft tracking as a drawback of the mower it tested.
How noisy is it for neighbours?
Quiet. eufy quotes 56dB, per eufy, and Notebookcheck measured about 57dB at a metre, depending on how hard it was mowing. That's typical for a small robot mower and unlikely to bother anyone next door.
Alternatives
Other robot lawn mowers to compare.

E15 Robot Lawn Mower
Why consider it: The bigger sibling for lawns up to 800m², and one of the quickest mowers to set up.
The compromise: Testers with bumpy or damp grass had it slipping and getting stuck.

V series (V600, V1000)
Why consider it: Also camera-only and maps the lawn by itself; four testers found the V1000 excellent at avoiding things.
The compromise: It leaves a strip at raised edges and prefers fairly level ground.

GOAT O500
Why consider it: Ecovacs's smallest wire-free mower, guided by cameras and a laser sensor with no aerial to put up.
The compromise: Tight corners can take remapping and it doesn't cut right to the edge.

X3 Plus
Why consider it: An entry-level camera-guided mower for small, simple lawns that starts mowing with no mapping at all.
The compromise: Small dips in the lawn can trap it.
