Qrevo Curv 2 Pro vs Qrevo S Pro

Which is better, Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Pro or Roborock Qrevo S Pro?

Buy the Qrevo S Pro unless your home is mostly carpet, has raised doorway thresholds or has sofas lower than 10cm.

Updated

The short version

Qrevo Curv 2 Pro

The Curv 2 Pro is for homes with lots of carpet, rugs, raised doorway thresholds and low furniture. It's one of the best Roborocks on carpet, it's slim enough to get under most sofas, and it lifts itself over thresholds. What you give up: it costs a lot more, its mopping smears sticky spills, and it still runs over cables and small toys.

Qrevo S ProOur pick

The S Pro is for mostly hard floors with a few low rugs. It does the everyday jobs well, and its dock washes the mop pads in hot water, dries them and empties itself, so there's little to do. What you give up: it's taller and bulkier, it carries its mops over carpet instead of leaving them in the dock, and it rolls over socks and cables.

What reviewers found

Qrevo Curv 2 Pro

Three home tests, from TechRadar, Tom's Guide and Notebookcheck, all rate its vacuuming highly, especially on carpet: TechRadar called its carpet pickup one of the best it had seen, and Tom's Guide found rugs looked noticeably cleaner. Tom's Guide watched it glide under sofas and beds and handle most thresholds. Mopping is the weak spot. TechRadar and Tom's Guide both saw it leave sticky smears on spills, while Notebookcheck called it solid but behind rivals with a roller mop. All three saw it run over small things such as cables and laces, so tidy up first.

Qrevo S Pro

T3 used it daily for two weeks in a family home, and Deskmodder tested it in a German flat. Both found it easy to set up and liked what the dock takes off your hands. They split on mopping: T3 found dried-on breakfast stayed stuck and cereal got pushed around, while Deskmodder saw lightly dried coffee stains come up reliably on hard floors. Deskmodder also found hair left deep in high-pile carpet, and both saw it roll over socks, cables or small toys because it has no camera.

Where they differ

Carpet and rugs: the Curv 2 Pro's strength

All three Curv 2 Pro testers rated it highly on carpet, and it can leave its mops in the dock when it only needs to vacuum. The S Pro always carries its mops and lifts them a little over rugs, and Deskmodder found it left hair deep in high-pile carpet. If most of your floor is carpet, this is the reason to pay more.

Doorway thresholds: 4cm against not published

Roborock rates the Curv 2 Pro for doorway thresholds with two rises totalling 4cm. It lifts its whole body to climb them. That figure is for two successive rises, not a single 4cm step. Roborock doesn't publish a climbing figure for the S Pro, and neither of its reviews measured one. If your rooms are separated by raised thresholds, check them before buying the S Pro.

  3. 03

Low furniture: under 8cm against nearly 10cm

The Curv 2 Pro drops its laser turret to stand 7.98cm tall, and Tom's Guide watched it slip under sofas and beds. The S Pro is 9.65cm tall, and T3 found it awkward around furniture and too bulky to get down the side of a sofa. Measure the gap under your sofa first.

The dock: hotter wash on the Curv 2 Pro

Both docks empty the bin and wash and dry the mop pads, so neither leaves you much to do. The Curv 2 Pro washes at 100掳C and presses its mops down harder, but its reviewers still found smears on sticky spills. On both, you add floor cleaner by hand.

Questions people ask

Is the Qrevo Curv 2 Pro worth the extra money?

If your home is mostly carpet, has raised doorway thresholds or has low sofas, yes. Those are the three things the Curv 2 Pro does clearly better, and all three of its reviewers rated it highly on carpet. For mostly hard floors, the S Pro does the everyday job for much less.

Which is cheaper, and what does its dock do?

The Qrevo S Pro is by far the cheaper of the two. Its dock empties the bin, refills the water, washes the mop pads at 75掳C and dries them with warm air. You still empty the dirty-water tank and add floor cleaner yourself, as T3 and Deskmodder found.

Do both lift the mops on carpet?

Yes, but differently. The Curv 2 Pro lifts its mops 20mm, and it can also leave them in the dock for vacuum-only runs. The S Pro always carries its mops and lifts them 10mm, which Deskmodder measured; Roborock doesn't publish that figure. That's fine for low rugs, but riskier on deep pile.

Why is the S Pro's doorway threshold height shown as not published?

Because Roborock doesn't publish one for the S Pro, on its UK or US pages, and neither T3 nor Deskmodder measured it. We'd rather say so than guess. If you have raised doorway thresholds, the Curv 2 Pro is rated for 4cm.

Will either avoid cables and pet mess?

Don't count on it. All three Curv 2 Pro testers saw it run over cables, laces or small toys, and TechRadar wouldn't trust it with dog mess. The S Pro has no camera, and both of its reviewers saw it roll over socks, cables or flat toys.
