Feedback
What we know
heise online and Humanoids Daily reported A2 Ultra's Guinness record walk from Suzhou to Shanghai in November 2025, and AGIBOT publishes its specs, uses and reliability claims. Both news reports lean on AGIBOT's figures and footage, and they disagree on basic specs. Treat everything here as the maker's account of a business product, not a tested verdict.
Built as a greeter and performer
AGIBOT pitches A2 Ultra at exhibition halls, receptions and commercial performances. It can greet people by recognising their faces, give route guidance and explanations, and answer questions from a knowledge base you customise, including its wake words, voice and persona. heise online adds it can turn a limited set of voice commands into up to 30 actions. That suits a scripted job in a known space, not open-ended help.
A record-breaking walk
heise online reports that an A2 Ultra walked 106km from Suzhou to Shanghai between 10 and 13 November 2025, a Guinness record, on a standard production unit. Its batteries were swapped several times on the move. Humanoids Daily says the only visible wear afterwards was on the rubber soles. It's an impressive endurance stunt, but it doesn't tell you how well it handles a busy lobby.
Short runs between battery swaps
AGIBOT quotes about three hours standing and about an hour and a half walking per battery, with hot-swappable packs and fast charging for continuous use. heise online says the A2 Lite lasts about two hours to the Ultra's three. Plan for spare batteries and someone to change them if it will work a full day.
Sources disagree on the basics
AGIBOT and heise online list it at 1.69m and about 69kg with 40 joints. Humanoids Daily describes a 1.75m, 55kg robot with more than 49 joints, which may refer to a different version of the A2. The gap matters if your space has tight doors or weight limits, so ask AGIBOT to confirm the exact configuration and specs before you sign anything.
It's sold to businesses by enquiry; this page is for organisations weighing it up and readers curious about it.
Our take
Should you buy the A2 Ultra?
Best for: Venues and museums with staff to run a humanoid host. Skip it if: You want a robot for an ordinary household.
for venues, museums and companies that want an eye-catching humanoid host and have staff to set it up and watch over it. Developers wanting a humanoid to program should look at Unitree's G1, and for a smaller performer from the same maker there is AGIBOT's X2.
The A2 Ultra is a full-size walking humanoid that AGIBOT builds for reception desks, exhibition halls and stage shows. It recognises faces to greet visitors, answers questions from a knowledge base you load, and walks people to where they need to go. A screen for a face shows expressions.
News reports covered a walk of 106km from Suzhou to Shanghai for a Guinness record, with its batteries swapped on the move. AGIBOT says over a thousand are in use. Its arms carry very little, a couple of kilos each, and it walks for about an hour and a half per battery. It isn't sold to households. Businesses ask AGIBOT's sales team for a quote, and there is no public price.
Before you buy
The questions people ask about this one
Can I actually buy one?
Only as a business. AGIBOT offers A2 Ultra through product enquiries and its sales team, with no public price and no household version. It's aimed at venues, exhibitions and brand events. We couldn't find an official sales route in the UK, US or Australia.
What can it do on its own today?
According to AGIBOT, it can walk to set points while avoiding obstacles, greet visitors it recognises, give tours and answer questions from a knowledge base. heise online says it handles a limited set of voice commands. It can't do physical chores: its arms carry about 2kg the specifications.
What does it need to run?
Charged, swappable batteries: about 1.5 hours of walking or 3 hours standing each, with a two-hour charge the specifications. It connects by Wi-Fi or mobile data, and AGIBOT says you set it up with its AimMaster software, with updates every two to three months.
Is it safe to have around people?
AGIBOT says it holds safety certifications for China, the US and Europe, and ships with a wireless emergency stop. It also claims 1,300 hours of continuous walking without a fall in testing. None of the sources here checked any of this, and at about 69kg it needs supervision in crowds.
Alternatives
Other humanoid robots to compare.

X2
Why consider it: AGIBOT's half-size commercial humanoid with multimodal interaction and performance skills.
The compromise: It's not a finished, fully autonomous appliance for ordinary households either.

G1
Why consider it: A serious developer platform for research labs and robotics developers.
The compromise: It's not a general-purpose home robot, and it's aimed at programmers rather than venues.

H1
Why consider it: A full-size humanoid with laser and depth-camera perception, for developers and organisations.
The compromise: It's a platform to build on, not a ready-made greeter.
