What we know
What we know comes from Samsung's own pages: Samsung UK Newsroom, Samsung UK's CES 2026 report, and Samsung Design, a design article about a Korean version. Both describe object and liquid recognition, wheels for thresholds and steam-cleaned mop pads. They give different climbing heights, and neither says when it will reach the UK, US or Australia.
What Samsung says it does
Samsung UK Newsroom says the robot recognises furniture, cables and coloured or clear liquids, cleaning or avoiding them depending on your settings, and that side brushes and a mop pad reach corners and walls. Samsung Design adds that infrared LEDs help the camera spot clear liquids. These come from Samsung's descriptions and CES demonstrations.
Two different climbing claims
Samsung UK Newsroom says the EasyPass wheel gets it over door thresholds and mats up to 60mm. Samsung Design says 45mm. Samsung also warns that specifications vary by country and model, which may explain the difference. Treat both as upper limits in ideal conditions. Most robots stop at about 2cm, so even the lower figure would be a big step up if it holds in real homes.
The steam is for the mop pads
Samsung UK Newsroom describes the dock washing the pads at high temperature and sanitising them with 100°C steam to reduce odours. That's pad care, not steam cleaning of your floor. Samsung Design describes an Auto-Drain dock built into cabinets and plumbed into the water supply, but says that version is sold only in Korea.
What's not checked yet
Everything above comes from Samsung UK Newsroom and Samsung Design plus CES demonstrations. Nobody independent has yet checked how often it gets clear liquids and cables right, whether it really climbs 60mm or 45mm, how well it vacuums and mops, or how the dock and steam-cleaned pads hold up. Reviews of older Jet Bot Combo models don't tell you how this one behaves.
Our take
Should you buy the Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra?
Best for: SmartThings households wanting hard floors mopped. Skip it if: You want a stronger record in independent tests before buying.
Wait for independent tests. If you want a Samsung with a steam dock now, the Jet Bot Combo AI Steam+ has been reviewed widely, with mixed results. If you want proven clutter-dodging and climbing, the Roborock Saros 20 and Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete have both been tested properly.
The Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra is the model above Samsung's Jet Bot Combo AI. Samsung says its camera and AI chip recognise furniture, cables and even clear liquids, and that you can choose whether it cleans spills up or avoids them. New wheels are meant to lift it over doorway thresholds and mats, a side brush and mop pad pop out for edges, and the dock washes the pads at high temperature and sanitises them with 100°C steam.
The catches: Samsung's own pages disagree on how high it climbs, one regional dock that plumbs into the water supply is sold only in Korea, and we couldn't find it on sale in any of our markets.
The steam cleans the mop pads in the dock; it doesn't steam your floors.
Before you buy
The questions people ask about this one
Will it avoid cables and pet mess?
Samsung says it recognises cables, furniture and liquids, per Samsung UK Newsroom, but no independent reviewer has tested it yet. The older Combo AI split testers sharply on avoidance, so wait for reviews.
Can it cross rugs and raised thresholds between rooms?
Samsung claims 60mm in Samsung UK Newsroom and 45mm in Samsung Design, using a new wheel system. Neither figure has been checked by anyone else, so don't rely on the higher one.
Can I get it with a plumbed-in dock?
Not in our markets. Samsung Design describes an Auto-Drain version that connects to the water supply, but says it's available only in Korea. Everywhere else, expect a standard dock with tanks you fill and empty by hand.
Does it steam-clean the floor?
No. According to Samsung UK Newsroom, the 100°C steam sanitises the mop pads in the dock. The robot mops with its pads as usual, and no independent test yet shows whether the steam helps the pads clean floors any better.
Alternatives
Other robot vacuums to compare.

Bespoke AI Jet Bot Combo AI Steam+
Why consider it: Samsung's earlier steam-dock robot, with four independent tests, several of which rated its obstacle dodging highly.
The compromise: One long test found it confused and leaking, and Samsung UK no longer lists it.

Saros 20
Why consider it: Very strong on hard floors and unusually good at getting over doorway thresholds and under furniture.
The compromise: Less certain on thick carpet and around clutter.

X60 Max Ultra Complete
Why consider it: Low, climbs tall two-step thresholds and was excellent at dodging clutter in testing.
The compromise: Testers disagree about how well it cleans, and it can need babysitting.
