What the evidence shows
NEO offers a more concrete home-robot proposition than a demonstration alone, but early access still combines basic autonomy with scheduled human assistance. The central ownership question is how much of your intended work it can complete independently.
Understand Expert Mode before choosing it
1X says NEO arrives with basic autonomy and can use a remotely connected expert for unfamiliar tasks at scheduled times. That is materially different from assuming every advertised chore can be delegated whenever you like. Ask which tasks your particular delivery supports without that help.

The official description includes self-charging, a chore schedule, app control and a washable outer suit. These explain the intended routine, but the material checked does not establish how often a household owner intervenes, waits for assistance or arranges service.

Our assessment is that NEO suits someone comfortable participating in a developing service and understanding the remote-assistance arrangement. A deposit is not the whole purchase cost, and a list of future capabilities is not a record of work already completed in independent homes.
