What reviewers found
The Gen3’s slim body and capable everyday cleaning are its strongest attractions. A four-week exact-model review was positive overall, while finding limits around small obstacles, corner debris and some app controls.
Low furniture is a useful advantage
YourLifeUpdated found the low profile useful around the home, with quick initial mapping and generally efficient routes. Ecovacs specifies an 81 mm body. Measure the actual gap under furniture: reaching a previously inaccessible area can matter more than another increase in advertised suction.

The reviewer collected all test crumbs after three passes and found little hair tangling. Some debris remained near edges on earlier passes; the side brush does not extend. Mopping was also effective, including dried coffee after a repeat pass, without excessive water left behind.

The test unit avoided many household objects but missed thin cables and simulated pet waste. The camera therefore should not be treated as a guarantee of safe unattended cleaning around accidents. Some carpet and automatic-cleaning settings were also less intuitive to find in the app.

Ecovacs confirms automatic dust collection and heated mop drying, with drying durations measured in hours. The reviewer noted a removable washing area that still accumulated dirt. The pads lift but do not detach automatically, so thick rugs and the station’s maintenance space remain practical considerations.
