Tom’s Guide found useful pickup of cereal and litter, but hair was less dependable: airflow moved strands and the robot sometimes avoided larger clumps. Some debris also ended up behind the side brush after an area had been covered. L&B’s family-apartment test was more positive about the daily result. Together these favour regular maintenance cleans over expectations of a perfect one-pass recovery from a very dirty floor.

Tom’s Guide found the rotating mops handled its ketchup test well, but noticed areas in the kitchen and hallway that had not been covered. That is a useful distinction between scrubbing ability and complete coverage. The extending pad does not, by itself, prove every strip along the edge of a room has been washed. Inspect those areas before leaving a new schedule unattended.

L&B used the robot daily in a 130-square-metre apartment with two children. Setup and room ordering were straightforward, and a typical clean took around 115 minutes in that particular home. It also described adding an accessible room after a door was opened. This gives a more helpful picture of routine use than the longest advertised battery figure, without guaranteeing the same duration in another layout.

L&B found maximum suction and dust emptying audible, although the latter was brief. Tom’s Guide also heard rattling from some harder debris and noted that the small onboard bin could require repeated emptying trips. The tall station needs a practical home where its tanks remain reachable. Convenience depends on where you can put it, not just whether its footprint fits.

Our reading is that the Gen 2 makes sense for someone who wants scheduled floor care and automated mop washing without relying on advanced avoidance to handle a cluttered room. The two home tests support a meaningful reduction in chores, while the coverage observations justify retaining a manual vacuum for missed areas. These are short-term cleaning assessments; they do not establish long-term fault rates.
