What reviewers found
The E28’s removable spot cleaner is a useful addition, but robot cleaning results vary considerably between tests. It looks more compelling for hard floors and occasional upholstery spills than for homes dominated by thick carpet and embedded pet hair.
Hard-floor upkeep is more convincing than carpet
RTINGS found useful hard-floor pickup, with some scattering and missed edges. It was less impressed by fine debris and pet hair in carpet, especially alongside difficulty moving on plush flooring. Vacuum Wars reported better overall pickup, so flooring and the type of debris matter more than a blanket claim of strong suction.

Vacuum Wars recorded strong dried-stain cleaning. RTINGS found stain removal disappointing because the robot did not spend enough time working on marks. Both are first-hand tests; neither establishes how every stain or floor finish will respond. The E28’s appeal is regular maintenance, with stubborn patches still worth checking after a run.

Vacuum Wars successfully used the dock’s detachable cleaner on dried drink stains and fresh spills. This is the clearest reason to choose the E28 over a conventional robot-and-dock package: it can help with fabrics and local accidents the robot cannot reach, though a person must operate that attachment.

Vacuum Wars found excellent obstacle avoidance, but also long-hair clumps collecting behind the brush and a small onboard bin. RTINGS saw more intervention on carpets, including tassels and lightweight furniture being pushed. Automatic washing and emptying reduce work without eliminating brush inspection or the need to prepare difficult rugs.
