The Gadgeteer found effective rug cleaning in its week-long trial, with a second stronger pass needed for remaining hairs deeper in a mid-pile rug. CGMagazine reported no brush tangles in a household with long hair. These are encouraging short-term observations, not a guarantee that every coat type or thick carpet will clean in one cycle.

The Gadgeteer’s tests included dried coffee, mud and sticky juice, with positive results from the pads and repeat cleaning. CGMagazine also saw visibly cleaner hard floors. Our interpretation is that frequent mixed-floor maintenance is the strongest use case, provided someone still handles the station’s clean- and dirty-water tanks.

CGMagazine reported that the robot ran over dog waste during its home test. The Z10 Turbo does not use the camera system found on some more expensive Narwals. The practical lesson is to inspect a pet area before an unattended run rather than assume the obstacle-detection feature can identify every mess.

CGMagazine liked setup and room scheduling, but noted the substantial station and slower whole-home run than its previous robot. The Gadgeteer found the app denser and initially overrode automatic choices, including adding a no-mop zone after a rug-edge mistake. It may take a few runs to settle on the most useful room rules.
