Every other buying guide on this site ranks its picks. This one does not, and the reason is worth stating plainly: across fifty-two pool robots we found exactly one UK price, and it was out of stock. Maytronics prices some Dolphins and not others on identical page templates, Aiper's UK store mostly returns dead links, and Beatbot and WYBOT price in euros and dollars. Ranking on specification sheets alone would be guessing with a confident face.
Why there is no ranking here
Only one of the fifty-two pool robots we track had a UK price on the maker's own site: the Aiper Scuba S1 at £494, reduced from £599, and that page said out of stock. One price, unavailable, is not a ranking.
The other prices we hold are dollars and euros — Beatbot, WYBOT, Mammotion and iGarden on their US and European stores. They are real and dated, but they are not what a British buyer pays once import, warranty and servicing are counted.
No outlet on our list of trusted reviewers has tested the models we can price. The pool-cleaner reviews that exist online are overwhelmingly published by sites that also sell the machines.

The questions that decide this category, in the order they usually matter.
Floor-only, floor and walls, or floor, walls and waterline. Manufacturers use the word 'complete' loosely, and waterline scrubbing is the feature that costs most and is skipped most often. Every model below states its own coverage; check it against the shape of your pool.
A cordless robot that sinks and stays down has to be hauled out by hook. Several now park themselves at the surface on command. If you swim alone or the pool is deep, this is a bigger daily difference than suction.
Published run times assume floor cleaning; adding walls and waterline cuts them, sometimes by a third. Match the stated area to your own pool with margin, and read the run time for the mode you will actually use.
A large basket that passes fine silt leaves the water cloudy. Look for a stated micron rating rather than litres alone, and check how easily the basket comes out and rinses.
This is the question the specification sheet never answers, and the reason Dolphin's dealer model persists. A robot that needs a motor replacing in year three is worth more with a local dealer than without one.

We are not going to tell you, because we cannot support an answer. The models below are the ones whose specifications and prices we have verified, in euros, from the maker's own European store. That is not the same as knowing which cleans a British pool best.
Many pool-robot 'reviews' are published by retailers who sell the machines, and a ranking is easier to write from a specification sheet than from a pool. We would rather publish a shorter, duller page than a confident one we cannot stand behind.
Cordless removes the cable tangle and the poolside power run, and every model we can price is cordless. The trade is run time and retrieval: a cordless robot stops when the battery does, and you may have to fish it out.
When UK prices we can verify exist for at least five models, or when independent tests are published. Both are listed above as the specific things that would change it.
