eufy X10 Pro Omni vs Omni E25

Buy the Omni E25. Reviewers agree it's excellent with pet hair and steers round clutter well, while the older X10 Pro Omni's results swing from great to poor depending on who tested it. The X10 only makes sense if it's much cheaper on the day.

Updated

The short version

X10 Pro Omni

eufy's flagship from early 2024, now one of the cheaper ways to get a camera, spinning mops and a dock that empties, washes and dries in one box. The catch is how much the reviews disagree. Two testers praised its carpet cleaning and stain removal, while a lab found both weak and a home tester saw it skip whole areas. It's also tall and the dock is very loud when it empties.

Omni E25Our pick

The newer, more dependable pick. It swaps the X10's spinning pads for a roller mop that's rinsed with clean water as it cleans, and its pet-hair results are the best in eufy's range: nothing wrapped round the brush in a long-hair test. Obstacle avoidance is a consistent strength too. What you give up: the roller can't be left in the dock, so deep rugs can get damp, there's no mop-only mode, and it's about as tall as the X10.

What reviewers found

X10 Pro Omni

Four reviews, and they don't agree. Vacuum Wars found it swept hard floors almost perfectly and cleared dried coffee and grape juice completely, and TechRadar lifted carpet hair well on its stronger settings. RTINGS rated carpet and pet-hair pickup poor and found the mop barely shifted stains. T3 liked the cleaning but found coverage patchy, with whole parts of the kitchen ignored. Everyone liked the hands-off dock, though TechRadar measured 82dB while it emptied.

Omni E25

Six reviews, mostly positive. Vacuum Wars measured 93% of flattened hair lifted from carpet with nothing wrapped round the brush, TechGearLab named it the best in its group for heavily shedding pets, and Expert Reviews lifted almost all of its dog hair. Mopping splits testers: TechRadar rated it some of the best it had seen on maximum, but TechGearLab couldn't shift a dried coffee stain at all. Deep carpet and edges are the weaker spots.

Where they differ

  1. 01

Consistency: the E25's reviews agree, the X10's don't

This is the main reason to pick the E25. Its six reviews broadly line up: strong on pet hair, good at avoiding objects, decent on carpet. The X10's four reviews split down the middle. Vacuum Wars and TechRadar praised its carpet cleaning and mopping, while RTINGS found both poor and T3 saw it skip an open kitchen entirely. Nobody has pinned down why, so it's hard to know which X10 you'd get.

  2. 02

Pet hair: the E25 is clearly stronger

Vacuum Wars measured 93% of flattened hair lifted from carpet against an 81% average, and none wrapped round the brush in a long-hair test where the average robot tangled 38%. TechGearLab called it the only robot in its group that picked up lots of fur without tangling. The X10 has a detangling comb and TechRadar was pleased with its hair pickup on stronger settings, but RTINGS found it left pet hair behind.

  3. 03

    Mopping: roller against spinning pads

The X10 presses two spinning pads into the floor. The E25 uses a roller that's rinsed with clean water as it goes. Neither is a sure thing on dried stains. Vacuum Wars saw the X10 clear dried coffee and grape juice, but RTINGS found it barely shifted stains. The E25 scored slightly above average on dried stains for Vacuum Wars, while Trusted Reviews needed two passes and TechGearLab couldn't lift dried coffee. Run either on its stronger settings for stubborn marks.

  4. 04

Obstacles: both have a camera, the E25 is more dependable

Vacuum Wars recorded 21 of 24 obstacles avoided against a 17 average, and TechGearLab found it mostly steered round cords, shoes and pet accidents. The X10's record is patchier: RTINGS found it good on hard floors but much weaker on carpet, and Vacuum Wars saw it so cautious that it steered round debris it should have picked up. Clear cables before a run with either.

  5. 05

    Rugs, height and the dock

Neither leaves its mop in the dock. The X10 lifts its pads 12mm on carpet and never wetted TechRadar's rugs; the E25's roller lifts about a centimetre and Trusted Reviews warns longer carpet can get damp. Both are tall: TechRadar measured the X10 at 11.4cm, and eufy lists the E25 at 11.2cm. Both docks are loud when emptying. Measure under your sofa before buying either.

Questions people ask

What is the difference between the eufy X10 Pro Omni and the Omni E25?

The mop and the age. The X10 Pro Omni, from early 2024, mops with two spinning pads. The newer E25 uses a roller that's rinsed with clean water as it cleans, and eufy claims much higher suction. Both have a laser, a front camera and a dock that empties the bin and washes the mop.

Is the Omni E25 better than the X10 Pro Omni?

For most homes, yes. Its reviews are more consistent and its pet-hair results are much stronger: Vacuum Wars found nothing wrapped round its brush in a long-hair test. The X10's reviews swing from praise to RTINGS's poor carpet and stain results, so it's a bigger gamble.

Which is better for pet hair?

The E25. TechGearLab named it the best in its group for heavily shedding pets, and Expert Reviews lifted almost all of its dog hair. TechRadar liked the X10's hair pickup on stronger settings, but RTINGS found it left hair behind.

Will either fit under my sofa?

Only if there's more than about 11.5cm of space. TechRadar measured the X10 at 11.4cm and eufy lists the E25 at 11.2cm, and neither has a turret that drops down. Measure the tightest gap and leave a little room for the robot to move.

Can either mop without wetting my rugs?

Neither can leave its mop behind. The X10 lifts its pads 12mm and never wetted TechRadar's carpets. The E25's roller lifts about a centimetre, and Trusted Reviews warns longer carpet can get damp. With deep rugs, set them as no-mop zones.
