Feedback on the original L40 Ultra is sharply divided on cleaning thoroughness. Its extending cleaning tools and automated station are attractive, but enthusiastic home testing sits alongside weaker laboratory pickup results. The exact brush supplied with the offer deserves attention.
Why the cleaning verdicts differ
TechRadar's reviewer was very pleased with everyday dust and animal-hair cleaning across hard floors, a dog rug and a large hall. RTINGS, however, found missed fine debris, incomplete floor coverage and hair dragged across carpet. These are substantially different experiences, not a clear consensus. We cannot establish a single explanation from the reports, so a confident claim that this is universally excellent for pets would overstate the evidence.

TechRadar's reviewed package included a TriCut replacement brush, which its reviewer highlighted for handling loose hair. RTINGS criticised insufficient agitation in its tested brush configuration. Confirm whether your seller includes TriCut and which roller you intend to use. We treat that as a meaningful comparison detail, without assuming it accounts for all the disagreement between tests.

TechRadar removed a dried soy-sauce patch over three passes and liked the extending mop's reach. RTINGS found mopping acceptable but held back by inconsistent cleaning routes. Together, the reports suggest that the rotating pads can clean effectively where they work, while route coverage deserves watching during the first few runs in your own rooms.

RTINGS found that the robot avoided most objects even while taking inconsistent paths. TechRadar saw systematic routes in its home use, although some small areas in a hall were skipped. This distinction is useful: avoiding a shoe successfully does not demonstrate that every part of the floor was cleaned. Inspect the completed map as well as the visible floor.

Both tests describe a station that empties debris and maintains the mops, substantially reducing daily handling. TechRadar's main physical objection was its bulky appearance. RTINGS also regarded the dock as a strength.
