All three reviewers found it cleans well if the glass is in reasonable shape. I'mTech called it the best window robot it had tested, with a streak-free finish on well-kept windows, and scored it 81 / 100. Robotobzor praised the scrubbing and how far it gets into corners. Recharged also got streak-free glass but measured it at up to 80dB and called it a niche buy. An owner on ProductReview.com.au had a much worse time on a pool fence with glass fittings.

Streak-free on well-kept glass
I'mTech found it cut through light grime and left a streak-free finish inside and out, as long as the windows were in reasonable condition, and gives HOBOT's cleaning solution some of the credit. Recharged also saw no streaks, with the mist landing just ahead of the pads. Neither expects it to shift heavy build-up: I'mTech pre-cleans dirty glass by hand, and Recharged found it only gave a shower a basic wipe-down.
Closer to the corners
Robotobzor found its square shape and corner sensors took the cloth deeper into corners than a round robot, though a small blind spot remained. I'mTech said it did a decent job of the edges but still needed a microfibre cloth for the frames and the last few millimetres. It beats the round-pad HOBOTs here, but plan on a quick wipe round each pane.
Loud, and you stay nearby
Recharged says HOBOT quotes 64dB, but a phone meter showed up to 80dB. You can't just leave it to it, either. I'mTech timed 7.5 minutes for one side of a 1.76m² pane in the most thorough mode, and with a dry run and a wet run on both sides that came to about 30 minutes per pane, moving it on each time. Recharged also watched it throughout to make sure it didn't fall.
Frameless glass and fittings
I'mTech says it can clean frameless glass and found it worked round door handles in testing, and Robotobzor saw it pull back from frameless edges without losing grip. An owner on ProductReview.com.au had a different time on pool and balcony glass: it stopped at rubber edges, couldn't cope with the spigots holding the panels, and fell off. Irregular shapes are out too, I'mTech says, because it changes direction whenever it bumps an edge.
Detergent, pads and wind
I'mTech tried tap water on a clean window and got streaks that were slow to dry, so it recommends HOBOT's solution, and Recharged also says to buy HOBOT's detergent. Pads need rinsing often: I'mTech swapped them about every 10m² inside and 6m² outside, once snail-trail streaks appeared. Robotobzor found wind blew the mist off the glass, so pick a calm day for outside panes.
I'mTech has since added a note to its reviews saying it no longer recommends products from Robot My Life, HOBOT's Australian distributor, after reader reports of delivery and support problems.

Should you buy the S6 Pro?
Best for: Large panes or glass partitions needing regular upkeep. Skip it if: You need it to clean quietly while you work or rest nearby.
Buy the S6 Pro if you have plenty of big panes, glass balustrades or a pool fence that you clean every couple of months, and you want edges and corners closer to done. Skip it if noise bothers you or your glass has lots of fittings and spigots. If you'd rather avoid sockets, a battery-station robot such as the Ecovacs WINBOT W2S Omni is the better fit.
The S6 Pro is a square HOBOT that moves on rubber tracks while two cleaning pads underneath scrub back and forth at up to 600 strokes a minute. Nozzles on both sides spray a fine mist ahead of it, and sensors at the corners help it spot frame edges and the end of frameless glass. It came after the flat-cloth 2S and sits below the newer S7 Pro and the SP10 with its scrapers.
The square shape gets it further into corners than HOBOT's round-pad R3, but you still wipe the edges and move it between panes yourself. It runs from the mains on a 5m cord, with a battery that only holds it on the glass for 20 minutes if the power goes. Testers say it's for regular upkeep, so badly neglected windows need a hand clean first.

Will it work on frameless glass?
Yes, on plain panels. HOBOT's edge sensors react to air leaking in at frameless edges, per the specifications. Robotobzor saw it pull back from frameless edges without losing grip, and I'mTech says it can clean frameless glass. An owner on ProductReview.com.au found it fell off at the spigots holding pool-fence panels, so fittings are the weak spot.
What happens if the power cuts out?
A built-in battery holds it on the glass for 20 minutes with an audible alert, per the specifications. When the power went, Robotobzor saw it speak, flash red and send a phone notification, which gives you time to take it down.
Does it leave streaks or edges?
On well-kept glass, I'mTech and Recharged got a streak-free finish. Dirty or damp pads leave snail-trail streaks, I'mTech found, so rinse them often. The edges and the last few millimetres at the frame still need a cloth.
How long does one window take?
HOBOT claims 2.6 minutes per square metre at its fastest, per the specifications. I'mTech timed 7.5 minutes for one side of a 1.76m² pane in the most thorough mode. With a dry and a wet run on both sides, allow about half an hour per large pane.
Does it need a special cleaning fluid?
I'mTech got streaks with tap water and recommends HOBOT's solution, which it says covers about 60m² a bottle. Recharged also says to buy HOBOT's detergent. Other liquids could block the spray nozzles, I'mTech warns.
Can I use it on upstairs outside windows?
Yes, with the rope tied off. I'mTech says it can do high outside windows that would otherwise need a ladder, and HOBOT rates the 4.5m rope to 230kgf, per the specifications. It needs a socket within 5m, and I'mTech points out the power brick isn't waterproof.

The compromise: Both of its reviewers saw streaks on dirtier glass.

Why consider it: Its battery station frees it from the socket, and three tests found it cleans everyday dirt well and gets closer to the edges than most.
The compromise: Corners still aren't perfect, and you move it between panes and wash the pad yourself.
