What we know
There's one hands-on test, plus HOBOT's own page. Root-Nation found the rear scraper left a clearer, drier path than cloth-only robots, and its handle-avoidance mode steered round window fittings. A thin border round the frame still had to be wiped by hand, and each session meant filling the tank, mixing the cleaning liquid and anchoring the safety tether first.

A squeegee for a drier finish
The scrapers are the whole point of the SP10. Root-Nation's tester saw a dry, clear path behind the robot as the cloth and rear scraper worked together, so dirty water came off the glass instead of drying on it. That tackles the most common complaint about window robots, which tend to leave a damp film. It's one tester's experience rather than a measured comparison.
Edges still need a wipe
HOBOT says the robot finishes with sweeps down both vertical edges. Root-Nation saw it go back over the sides, but still wiped round the edge by hand because a thin border was left untouched. In that test, its mode for dodging window handles steered round the fittings fine. As with every window robot, plan on a quick cloth round the frame.
What HOBOT claims
HOBOT lists 6,000Pa of suction, four cleaning modes, and sensors that react to air leaking in at frameless edges or through gaps under 5mm between panels. It says the robot works on windows sloping between 7 and 100 degrees, and that a redesigned air channel makes the noise less shrill. The scrapers and nozzles are replaceable, and it comes in a hard carry case.
Some prep before every clean
Root-Nation describes filling the tank, making up the cleaning liquid and anchoring the safety tether before each session. The tester preferred the standard mode for everyday use and found a tankful covered several average windows. HOBOT recommends washing and wringing out the cloth before each round, cleaning first in its washing mode, then clearing any remaining marks in its finishing mode.
What's not checked yet
Only one hands-on review of the SP10 exists, from Root-Nation, and the tester didn't cut the power, so the backup battery's 20-minute hold is HOBOT's figure. Still open: whether the frameless-edge and gap sensors work as described, how it copes with sloping glass, whether the redesigned air channel really makes it quieter, and how the scrapers and the robot itself hold up over time.
Our take
Should you buy the SP10?
Best for: Large windows cleaned regularly, with a socket nearby. Skip it if: You want a stronger record in independent tests before buying.
The SP10 is worth a look if drying marks and water streaks are what annoy you most about window robots, and you have sockets near your windows. With only one test so far, it's a riskier buy than HOBOT's S7 Pro, which two reviewers have tested. If you'd rather not hunt for sockets, the Ecovacs WINBOT W2S Omni runs from a battery station.
The SP10, which HOBOT also calls the iScraper, is a square window robot on rubber tracks. It sprays from nozzles on both sides, wipes with a thick microfibre cloth, then drags a pair of scraper blades across the glass behind it to pull the dirty water off, much like a window cleaner's squeegee. HOBOT claims its strongest suction yet and sensors that spot frameless edges and small gaps between panels.
It's still a mains robot, with a 4m cord and a battery that only holds it on the glass for 20 minutes if the power goes, and you carry it from window to window. Each clean takes a little prep: fill the tank, mix the cleaning liquid and anchor the safety tether. Plan on a quick wipe round the frame too.

The questions people ask about this one
Will it work on frameless glass?
HOBOT says its sensors detect frameless edges and gaps under 5mm between glass panels, per the specifications. Root-Nation's review doesn't cover frameless glass, and we haven't found a test that does. Watch it closely the first time you use it on frameless panes.
What happens if the power cuts out?
HOBOT says a built-in battery holds it in place for 20 minutes with an audible alert, and the 4.5m rope is rated to 230kgf, per the specifications. Root-Nation didn't cut the power, so that hold time hasn't been tested.
Does it leave streaks or edges?
Root-Nation found the scraper left a clearer, drier finish than wiping alone, but a thin strip round the frame was left untouched and had to be wiped by hand. There's no report yet on how it does with very dirty glass.
Can it clean roof windows?
HOBOT says it works on windows sloping between 7 and 100 degrees, per the specifications. That hasn't been tested independently, and Root-Nation's review doesn't mention sloping glass, so roof windows are unproven.
Does it need a special cleaning fluid?
HOBOT's page doesn't say you must use its own fluid. It recommends a damp, wrung-out cloth before each round, per the specifications. Root-Nation made up a cleaning liquid for the tank before use, and found one tankful covered several windows.

Why consider it: HOBOT's two-pad square model has two finished tests, and TechRadar found it excellent on lightly dirty glass and at spotting frameless edges.
The compromise: Both of its reviewers saw streaks on dirtier glass.
S6 Pro
Why consider it: I'mTech found it the best window robot it had tested, with streak-free results on well-kept glass.
The compromise: It's loud, and you still wipe the edges and move it between panes.
WINBOT W2S OMNI
Why consider it: Its battery station frees it from the socket, and three tests found it cleans everyday dirt well and gets closer to the edges than most.
The compromise: Corners still aren't perfect, and you move it between panes and wash the pad yourself.
