The short version
Fuzozo is a small plush ball with big eyes, made by Shanghai start-up Robopoet. You can clip it to a bag or keep it on a desk. It talks back, either in its own babble or in ordinary speech, remembers what you tell it and slowly develops one of five personalities based on how you treat it. You dress it up with digital accessories, and two Fuzozos can be bumped together to swap contact details between owners. It went on sale in China in mid-2025 and sold out its first batch quickly.
The trade-off, for now, is that you can't easily get one. Robopoet sells it through Chinese online stores only. It announced a version with its own mobile data connection and an international, multilingual edition for CES 2026, but hasn't said when they'll reach other countries. It also depends on AI models in the cloud, and Robopoet says it records your chats and habits to shape its personality.
Our take: Wait for an official international version and a proper review before buying one through a reseller. If you want a soft companion that reacts to touch today, Casio's Moflin is on sale and doesn't record speech. If you want a talking desk character instead, LivingAI's EMO is widely available, though owners say its voice recognition is patchy.

Nobody has published an independent hands-on review of Fuzozo in English, so there's nothing here from a tester. What we know comes from Robopoet's own site, its CES 2026 announcement with Tuya, and reporting by 36Kr on its launch in China, where the first batch sold out and early owners shared chats online. CyberPals surveyed the category without testing one, and says buyers outside China can only get Fuzozo through resellers.
A talking plush, not a robot
Fuzozo is a soft plush pendant with a personality rather than a machine that moves around, according to 36Kr. Robopoet says it chats in its own babble or in human speech, shows expressions and develops one of five personality types through daily interaction the specifications. 36Kr quotes early owners in China who called it a chatterbox, and one who found it jealous of her other Fuzozos. Hard to buy outside China
