What we know

What we know about Fuzozo comes from Robopoet's own site, its CES 2026 announcement with Tuya, and reporting by 36Kr on its launch in China, where the first batch sold out and early owners shared chats online. CyberPals looked across the category without testing one, and says buyers outside China can only get Fuzozo through resellers.

A talking plush, not a robot

Fuzozo is a soft plush pendant with a personality rather than a machine that moves around, according to 36Kr. Robopoet says it chats in its own babble or in human speech, shows expressions and develops one of five personality types through daily interaction the specifications. 36Kr quotes early owners in China who called it a chatterbox, and one who found it jealous of her other Fuzozos. Those are owners' stories, not tests.

Hard to buy outside China

Robopoet's English site links only to its Chinese stores on Tmall and JD the specifications. The maker announced a version with built-in mobile data and a multilingual international edition for CES 2026, according to Tuya Smart and Robopoet, but gave no date for either. CyberPals says buyers elsewhere can only use resellers, with no clean warranty route. Until an official version arrives, you'd be relying on a reseller if it needs to go back.

It remembers a lot

Robopoet says Fuzozo's memory system records your chats and interactions, including content, habits and environment, and analyses your preferences, intentions and emotions the specifications. That leans on AI running online: the CES announcement admits that current AI companions lose their personality when Wi-Fi drops, per Tuya Smart and Robopoet. Robopoet doesn't publish a privacy policy on its English site, so check where your data goes before you buy.

Our take

Should you buy the Fuzozo?

Best for: People wanting a small playful character to carry around. Skip it if: You need a finished robot you can buy and use now.

wait for an official international version and a proper review before buying one through a reseller. Casio's Moflin is a soft companion you can buy today, and it doesn't record speech.

Fuzozo is a small plush ball with big eyes from Shanghai start-up Robopoet, made to clip to a bag or sit on a desk. It talks back in its own babble or in ordinary speech, remembers what you tell it and grows one of five personalities based on how you treat it. Two Fuzozos can be bumped together to swap their owners' contact details.

It went on sale in China in mid-2025 and sold out its first batch quickly, but Robopoet sells it only through Chinese online stores. An international multilingual edition and a version with its own mobile data were announced for CES, with no release date for either. It relies on AI models in the cloud, and Robopoet says it records your chats, habits and surroundings to shape its personality. Battery life and any subscription aren't stated.

Before you buy

The questions people ask about this one

Can I buy one outside China?

Not officially. Robopoet's site links only to Chinese online stores the specifications. It announced an international edition for CES 2026, per Tuya Smart and Robopoet, without a release date. CyberPals says buyers elsewhere rely on resellers, so it's unclear who'd handle a warranty claim or return.

What does it record, and where does that go?

Quite a lot. Robopoet says its memory system stores your chats and interaction data, including habits and surroundings, to learn your preferences and moods the specifications. That processing relies on AI models online, per Tuya Smart and Robopoet. The English site doesn't explain where data is stored or for how long, so treat it as a connected device that listens.

Does it work offline?

Not properly. The CES 2026 announcement says AI companions like it lose their emotional responses when Wi-Fi drops, which is why Robopoet and Tuya built a version with its own mobile data connection, per Tuya Smart and Robopoet. Robopoet hasn't said what the current model can do without a connection the specifications.

Is it suitable for young children?

Robopoet doesn't give an age rating the specifications. 36Kr reports that it's aimed at young adults, and it's built around open-ended AI chat and memory rather than child-safe, scripted play. With no review and no published safeguards, it's not one to hand to a young child.

Why consider it: Another touch-first companion, soft and furry, that's on sale and doesn't record speech.

The compromise: It needs recharging on its bed, and it's about cuddles rather than conversation.

Why consider it: A plush AI pet that owners say brings a pet-like presence where real pets aren't practical.

The compromise: The cheaper bundle leaves out the charging base, and accessories cost extra.

Why consider it: A small desk character that dances and butts in while you work, and is widely sold.
