What we know

Everything here comes from Enabot, and it points one way: the SE 2 is the EBO Mini with different eyes. The Enabot Store specification table for the SE 2 matches the one on the Enabot Store (EBO Mini page) line by line, and Enabot's product page describes the same features. The Mini's FAQ is frank about its limits: thick carpet, bumps over 6mm and lag when you drive it from far away.

SE 2 or EBO Mini

The Enabot Store lists the SE 2 at 95 Γ— 95 Γ— 89mm and 290g, with a 2450mAh battery, a 2K camera at 137Β°, Wi-Fi 6 and 61dB of motor noise, and the same box contents. Every one of those lines matches the Enabot Store (EBO Mini page), and the product photos show the same body and dock with different eye graphics. You pick between Sunshine and Starlight eye designs, while the Mini has blue eyes and costs more. Enabot names no hardware difference.

What Enabot says it does

Enabot lists a low-angle 2K camera with night vision, two-way audio, motion alerts, 24/7 recording, a laser for pet play and a feather toy. Type a message in the app and the robot reads it aloud. It remembers its route and drives back to the dock when the battery runs low.

Carpet and thresholds

According to the Enabot Store, the SE 2 only crosses obstacles up to 6mm high and slopes up to 4Β°, which rules out a lot of door thresholds and deep rugs. The FAQ on the Enabot Store (EBO Mini page) says the identical Mini works on carpet but may struggle with thick pile. Its low body lets it get under furniture, so it can find a pet hiding under the sofa. Check your floors before you buy.

Connection and privacy

You drive it from the app over Wi-Fi 6 on 2.4GHz or 5GHz Enabot Store. The Mini's FAQ admits there may be lag when you drive it from a long way off Enabot Store (EBO Mini page). Enabot lists shared family access and a one-tap camera-off control. Recordings go to the 32GB memory card in the box, which you can swap for one of up to 256GB.

What's not checked yet

All of this comes from Enabot's own pages, Enabot, the Enabot Store and the Enabot Store (EBO Mini page), and nobody independent has reported on the SE 2 or the Mini it's based on. Still open: picture quality, night vision included, how reliably it finds its dock, how loud it really is, how long the battery lasts, how steady remote viewing is over Wi-Fi and how pets react to it.

Our take

Should you buy the EBO SE 2?

Best for: Pet owners wanting to drive a camera around one floor of the home. Skip it if: Stairs, thick rugs or raised thresholds separate the rooms you want to reach.

if you've settled on Enabot's small tracked pet camera and don't mind the eye design, pick the SE 2 over the EBO Mini, because it's the same robot for less. For video calls and patrols, look at the EBO Air 2 Plus instead.

The EBO SE 2 is the EBO Mini under another name. Enabot's spec tables match line by line, from the camera and battery to the motor noise, and the photos show the same body and dock. What changes is the eyes, a choice of "Sunshine Eyes" or "Starlight Eyes" instead of the Mini's blue, and a lower price. Enabot sells both at once and names no other difference.

Enabot's Mini FAQ says thick-pile carpet can stop it, remote control can lag over long distances and it only clears 6mm bumps, and those limits apply to the SE 2 too, since the hardware is the same. It doesn't recognise people or pets. If you like the Mini, the SE 2 is the same robot for less.

The questions people ask about this one

Is it any different from the EBO Mini?

Not in hardware, going by what Enabot says. Its size, weight, battery, camera, Wi-Fi and noise figures match the Mini's exactly the specifications, and the photos show the same body and dock. The Enabot Store offers two eye designs instead of the Mini's blue, at a lower price. Nobody has compared the two side by side.

Does it need a subscription to keep working?

Enabot's SE 2 pages don't mention a subscription the specifications. It comes with a 32GB memory card for recordings, expandable to 256GB, and Enabot lists 24/7 recording with playback in the app. Nobody has independently confirmed which features work without an account.

Can it handle rugs and carpet?

Only thin ones. It only crosses obstacles up to 6mm high, with a 4Β° slope limit the specifications, and the Enabot Store (EBO Mini page) FAQ for the identical Mini says it can struggle on thick-pile carpet. A raised threshold will stop it.

How long does the battery last?

Enabot claims 4–7 hours from its 2450mAh battery and 2–3 hours to recharge the specifications. According to Enabot, it remembers its route and heads back to the dock when low. Nobody has measured the battery or checked how reliably it finds the dock.

Is it noisy?

Enabot rates it at 61dB the specifications, the same as the Mini and louder than the brushless Mini Sport. That matters if it'll patrol while you're home or your pet is nervous of motor noise. No independent test has measured it.

Why consider it: A small tracked pet camera you drive around to peer into spots a fixed camera misses, backed by first-hand owner accounts.

The compromise: Floor obstacles and how your pet takes to it are the practical limits.
