What reviewers found

Four detailed tests agree it mops brilliantly. Vacuum Wars and TechRadar rate it among the best for hard floors, Tech Advisor called its mop wetness among the best it had seen, and RTINGS found it good on stains. RTINGS and Vacuum Wars also found its obstacle avoidance excellent. Carpet is the weak spot: RTINGS rated carpet and pet-hair pickup poor, and Vacuum Wars recorded some of its lowest carpet deep-clean scores. TechRadar and Tech Advisor both had trouble with raised thresholds.

  • Hard floors

    Mixed results

Open floor is its strength: Vacuum Wars found it extremely good at sweeping everything from fine dust to large debris, and TechRadar called it a dream for hard floors. RTINGS found its caution kept it back from walls and corners, so edges get missed.

  • Carpet and rugs

    Reviewers found problems

RTINGS rated carpet pickup poor, with fine material left behind, and Vacuum Wars recorded some of its lowest-ever carpet deep-clean scores over repeated runs. Tech Advisor was kinder, but TechRadar reached for a stick vacuum to finish a carpet spill.

  • Pet hair

    Not enough evidence

Only RTINGS tested pet hair, finding its rubber brush lifted little hair embedded in carpet.

  • Mopping

    Reviewers rate it highly

This is its standout. Vacuum Wars found it beat rivals on dried coffee and grape juice and handled big wet spills without streaks, TechRadar left varnished floors shining with no puddles, and RTINGS also found good stain results.

  • Navigation and obstacles

    Mixed results

Vacuum Wars recorded a perfect obstacle-avoidance score and RTINGS found it consistently avoided socks, cables and pet waste. Raised floor strips are the catch: TechRadar saw it refuse a 2cm step, and Tech Advisor's first map missed a room beyond a 2.5cm lip.

  • Dock and upkeep

    Mixed results

Tech Advisor found it stress-free, with automatic bin emptying and robot refilling, though the station tanks, bag and roller still need looking after by hand. TechRadar had debris fall out until it set the dock to empty after every run, RTINGS found bags can't be filled fully, and both TechRadar and Tech Advisor flag eufy-only detergent.

  • App and software

    Reviewers rate it highly

TechRadar found the app quick, responsive and clever with mapping, and Vacuum Wars rated it impressive and user-friendly, though missing a few options Roborock and Ecovacs offer. Tech Advisor liked the control over dock settings and parts reminders.

  • Noise

    Mixed results

TechRadar found the lower suction modes quiet and mop drying barely noticeable, though emptying peaked at 79dB. Tech Advisor likened standard mode to an ordinary vacuum cleaner and max mode to a washing machine's spin cycle.

  • Reliability and support

    Not enough evidence

None of the reviews we use has run it long-term or judged eufy's support yet.

  • Value

    Reviewers rate it highly

TechRadar found the price comparable with similar flagship robots, if you allow for eufy-only detergent and parts, and Vacuum Wars noted it costs less than many rivals in its class, as long as your home isn't mostly carpet.

Verdicts come from independent, hands-on, finished reviews. An area needs at least two of them before we say more than “Not enough evidence”. We don't score robots ourselves. How this works

Among the best for washing floors

Vacuum Wars found it outperformed rivals on dried coffee and grape juice, and it handled large wet spills without streaking because the dirty water goes into a tank. TechRadar called the mopping fantastic, with varnished floors left shining and no puddles. Tech Advisor judged the water level among the best it had seen, and RTINGS found good stain results. If grubby hard floors are your main problem, this is the reason to buy it.

Weak on carpet and pet hair

RTINGS rated carpet pickup poor, with fine material left behind and patchy coverage on low-pile carpet, and found its rubber brush lifted little embedded hair. Vacuum Wars ran its carpet deep-clean test several times and got some of the lowest scores it has recorded. Tech Advisor was kinder, calling carpet cleaning good apart from some missed fluff. TechRadar reached for a stick vacuum to finish a carpet spill. Keep a proper vacuum for rugs.

Superb avoidance, sometimes too careful

Vacuum Wars recorded a rare perfect obstacle-avoidance score, and RTINGS found it spotted socks, USB cables and pet waste consistently. The downside, per RTINGS, is that the same caution can keep it away from walls, corners and even debris on carpet. Its general pathing was a little erratic too, catching on tasselled rugs. TechRadar also saw it finish a clean with oats right in front of it.

Door strips can stop it

TechRadar found it sometimes crossed a roughly 2cm step from hallway to bedroom and sometimes refused. It hesitated less after the tester changed Visual Anti-Drop, but that's one tester's workaround, not advice to switch off drop protection, so check eufy's instructions for your layout. Tech Advisor's first mapping run never found a room beyond a 2.5cm floor lip, and RTINGS measured a maximum threshold of 1.9cm. If you have raised strips, check their height before buying.

A big dock and its own supplies

TechRadar measured the dock at 67cm tall with a 38 by 47cm footprint, though the height makes the tanks easy to reach. Emptying peaked at 79dB. eufy insists on its own shaped detergent bottle, which TechRadar and Tech Advisor both flag as an ongoing cost. RTINGS found the narrow bag space means bags can't be filled fully, and TechRadar had debris fall out until it set the dock to empty after every run.

Our take

Should you buy the Omni S1 Pro?

Best for: Homes with hard floors and clutter to steer around. Skip it if: Pet hair embedded in carpet is your main cleaning problem.

The S1 Pro is worth comparing for frequent hard-floor mopping, with strong tested avoidance but missed edges and raised-threshold problems. It is a poor match for embedded carpet hair. Vacuum Wars found E25 carpet dirt pickup much better, but that model’s other hair results are mixed and its wet roller is awkward on deep rugs; it is not a general pet-hair upgrade.

The Omni S1 Pro was eufy's flagship in 2024 with a self-rinsing roller rather than spinning pads. Clean water feeds the roller as it turns and dirty water goes into a separate tank, to reduce recirculation of dirty water. The tall dock empties the bin, washes and dries the roller and refills the robot with treated water and detergent. The newer Omni S2 now sits above it.

All four tests agree it mops brilliantly. Vacuum Wars found it beat rivals on dried coffee and grape juice and handled big wet spills without streaks, TechRadar left varnished floors shining with no puddles, and RTINGS found good stain results. Carpet is the weak point. RTINGS rated carpet and pet-hair pickup poor, Vacuum Wars recorded some of its lowest carpet deep-clean scores over repeated runs, and TechRadar reached for a stick vacuum to finish a carpet spill. Vacuum Wars recorded a perfect obstacle-avoidance score and RTINGS found it consistently avoided socks, cables and pet waste, though RTINGS found the same caution kept it back from walls and corners. Raised strips can stop it: TechRadar saw it refuse a 2cm step and Tech Advisor's first map missed a room beyond a lip. TechRadar and Tech Advisor both flag eufy-only detergent as an ongoing cost.

The questions people ask about this one

Will it avoid cables and pet mess?

Its avoidance was strong in testing. Vacuum Wars recorded a perfect course score, and RTINGS saw it avoid socks, cables and test pet waste. That doesn't guarantee it'll avoid every real accident, so clear pet mess before a run. RTINGS also saw its cautious pathing miss edges and corners.

Does it fit under low furniture?

Fairly well. eufy lists it at 96mm tall, per the specifications, because the laser sensor is built in rather than sitting on a tower. RTINGS found it cleared a 10cm gap. One good 10cm test isn't a guarantee, though, so measure the whole route under your furniture and leave some room above the robot.

Can it cross rugs and raised thresholds between rooms?

Carefully, and sometimes not at all. eufy claims 2cm, per the specifications, and RTINGS measured 1.9cm. TechRadar had it refuse a 2cm step until it changed a drop-detection setting, but don't take that as general setup advice. Vacuum Wars saw it get stuck on longer-pile rugs, so use the app settings to keep it off deep rugs while the roller is wet.

How big is the dock, and is it loud?

Big. It's 67cm tall with a footprint of 38 by 47cm, per the specifications, and TechRadar needed 50cm clear either side. Emptying peaked at 79dB in TechRadar's test, while drying the roller took about four and a half hours at a barely noticeable 50dB.

Can I use any floor cleaner in it?

No. TechRadar reports eufy warns other cleaners may cause irreversible damage, so you're tied to its own shaped detergent bottle. Tech Advisor notes the same proprietary cartridge. You can turn off automatic detergent dosing in the app, but budget for refills if you want it.

Does it need a subscription or an account?

There's no mention of a subscription, but you do need the eufy Clean app and a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection to set it up, per the specifications, and eufy says full app features rely on its cloud. Tech Advisor found the account set-up simple, and the dock's buttons let you start cleans without the phone.

Omni S1 Pro head to head

Head to head

eufy Omni E25 vs Omni S1 Pro

Our verdict: The E25 has a similar roller, and Vacuum Wars measured much stronger carpet dirt pickup from it than from the S1 Pro. Its wider hair results are mixed, and deep rugs still trouble the wet roller. The S1 Pro is lower at 9.6cm and measured strong avoidance. The E25 isn't a sure fix for mixed floors or pet hair.
