Qrevo S
3 independent reviewsRead the findings →An older mid-range Roborock with a dock that empties itself and washes the mops. It's good value for mostly hard floors. It can't be trusted to dodge socks, cables or pet mess, though.

What reviewers found
Three tests: RTINGS in its lab, Trusted Reviews in its home technology lab and Vacuum Wars in its studio. All three like the hard-floor cleaning, the mopping and the dock. Carpet splits them: Vacuum Wars found pickup as good as pricier Roborocks, while RTINGS and Trusted Reviews saw fine dust and hair left behind. Obstacles split them even more. Trusted Reviews saw it dodge every trap, but RTINGS and Vacuum Wars rated its avoidance among the worst they'd tested.

Hard floors
Reviewers rate it highlyTrusted Reviews found dust on hard floors picked up flawlessly in two passes, and Vacuum Wars found hard-floor pickup as good as pricier Roborocks. Edges are the weak spot: Trusted Reviews saw flour left along a kitchen plinth, and RTINGS found the side brush does little at walls.
Carpet and rugs
Mixed resultsVacuum Wars found carpet pickup as good as or better than pricier Roborocks. RTINGS found it fine with larger debris but weak with fine dust, and Trusted Reviews still saw flour left after two passes.
Pet hair
Reviewers found problemsRTINGS found weak pet-hair pickup from low-pile carpet, with strands dragged around. Separately, Trusted Reviews found long hair wrapped round the brush and had to remove it by hand, which is a different problem from poor pickup.
Mopping
Reviewers rate it highlyRTINGS called the mopping very effective, Vacuum Wars scored dried stains above average, and Trusted Reviews saw dried coffee and red wine come up easily, though mud needed four passes and a manual finish.
Navigation and obstacles
Reviewers found problemsRTINGS saw it hit socks, shoes and cables and fail around fake pet waste, and Vacuum Wars also measured poor avoidance. Trusted Reviews did much better, for reasons nobody has explained, so clear small hazards before a run.
Dock and upkeep
Reviewers rate it highlyRTINGS and Vacuum Wars both praise the dock, which empties the bin, refills the robot and washes and dries the mops. Trusted Reviews found it large and tall, and it washes in cold water with no detergent dosing.
App and software
Reviewers rate it highlyTrusted Reviews called the app brilliant, giving much the same experience as Roborock's flagships, and Vacuum Wars found it easy to use with most of the higher-end features.
Noise
Reviewers rate it highlyTrusted Reviews measured the robot at 58dB, relatively quiet for a robot vacuum, and RTINGS found it runs quietly enough not to startle pets.
Reliability and support
Not enough evidenceNone of the reviews we use has run it long-term or judged Roborock's support yet.
Value
Reviewers rate it highlyTrusted Reviews called it staggeringly good value for mostly hard-floored homes, and Vacuum Wars found it excellent value, by far the cheapest robot in its top ten at the time.
Verdicts come from independent, hands-on, finished reviews. An area needs at least two of them before we say more than “Not enough evidence”. We don't score robots ourselves. How this works
Reliable on hard floors and mopping
Trusted Reviews found it picked up hard-floor dust well in two passes and lifted dried coffee and red wine. Sticky ketchup stayed put, and mud needed four passes and a finish by hand. Vacuum Wars and RTINGS were also positive about the mopping. Good stain results don't prove it's safe on wood, though, so check what your floor maker says about wet cleaning.
Carpet results depend on the test
Vacuum Wars found carpet pickup as good as or better than more expensive Roborocks, with deep-clean scores matching the Qrevo MaxV. RTINGS found it fine with larger debris but weak with fine dust, and poor with pet hair on low-pile carpet, where it dragged strands around. Trusted Reviews still saw flour left after two passes. Different test materials may explain some of the gap. If most of your floor is carpet, keep a normal vacuum.
Tidy the floor before it runs
RTINGS found it often hit socks, shoes and loose cables despite its front sensor, and said it could run over pet waste. Vacuum Wars gave it the joint-worst avoidance score it had recorded. Yet Trusted Reviews had the opposite experience, with shoes, cables and fake pet mess all avoided. That's two tests against one and nobody knows why, so do a quick tidy before each scheduled clean.
Hair tangles and missed edges
In Trusted Reviews' human-hair test, hair wrapped round the single rubber roller and had to be untangled. It also left a clear line of flour along a kitchen plinth, because neither the mop nor the side brush reaches out that far. RTINGS noted the single side brush does little to pull debris away from walls and corners. Expect to do edges yourself, and pull hair off the roller now and then.
The dock does the dull jobs
RTINGS and Vacuum Wars praised the dock's automatic emptying, mop washing, drying and water refilling. It washes with unheated water and has no detergent dispenser. Trusted Reviews measured the robot at 58dB while cleaning and found the dock bulky. Roborock's comparison page lists extra cleaning controls and a smaller onboard bin than the original Qrevo.

Our take
Should you buy the Qrevo S?
Best for: Homes with mostly hard floors that are kept clear of clutter. Skip it if: You have thick carpets or usually leave clutter on the floor.
Worth buying at a clearance price if your floors are mostly hard and you're happy to tidy up before it runs. If cables, socks or dog toys are often on the floor, or you have deep carpet and a shedding pet, skip it. The QV 35S is the current version of this robot, and the Qrevo Curv adds stronger edge cleaning.
The Qrevo S was positioned as a lower-cost route to automatic emptying and mop care. RTINGS describes a revised dock base intended to reduce leakage, but that is not evidence of a measured reduction in failures. The dock empties dust and washes and dries the spinning pads. Roborock lists the QV 35S as an upgraded successor.
What you give up is obstacle avoidance and the premium extras. There's no camera, just a light-based sensor at the front, the mops are washed in cold water, and nothing swings out to reach the edges. We couldn't find it on sale new in the markets we cover, so you're most likely to see it discounted or second-hand.

The questions people ask about this one
Will it avoid cables and pet mess?
Probably not reliably. RTINGS found it ran into socks, shoes and cables and could run over pet waste, and Vacuum Wars scored its avoidance among the worst it has tested. Trusted Reviews saw it dodge everything, but that's the odd one out. Pick things up first.
Does it fit under low furniture?
It needs a gap of about 10cm. Roborock lists the robot at 3.8in (9.65cm) tall, per the specifications, and RTINGS found the lowest gap it could clear was 10cm. Trusted Reviews found it fitted under a corner sofa that stops some other robots.
Can it cross rugs and raised thresholds between rooms?
Low doorway thresholds are fine: RTINGS measured a maximum threshold of 1.9cm. The mops lift 10mm over carpet, per the specifications, which suits short pile. You can't leave them in the dock, though, so Trusted Reviews points owners of deep rugs towards robots that detach their mops.
How big is the dock, and how noisy is it?
Trusted Reviews lists dimensions of 52.1 × 48.7 × 34cm. If space is tight, check the width, depth, height and the room it needs around it against the installation diagram. The review's 58dB reading was for the robot while cleaning, so we don't know how loud the dock is when it empties, washes or dries.
How often will I have to empty or refill things?
The dock empties the robot into a bag and refills its mop tank. You still refill clean water, empty dirty water and clean the tray, filter and brushes. Trusted Reviews' seven-week dust-bag estimate only covers the bag. Follow the maintenance schedule, and expect to do it more often with pets or heavy dirt.
Qrevo S or QV 35S?
Roborock lists the QV 35S as an upgrade, with a higher advertised suction figure. A bigger suction number doesn't mean it cleans better. If you find a new Qrevo S, compare the total price, seller support, warranty and what's in the exact bundle before you choose.
Alternatives
Other robot vacuums to compare.

QV 35S
Why consider it: Tom's Guide found it excellent on hard floors, quiet and quick to map, with a full dock.
The compromise: It left most of the hair behind on high-pile carpet in Tom's Guide's test.

Qrevo S5V
Why consider it: Testers agree it mops well, and its dock makes a convincing package.
The compromise: It still misses small objects, and testers split on pet hair.

Qrevo Curv
Why consider it: Reviewers agree it's especially good on hard floors, with strong edge cleaning and mopping.
The compromise: Testers split on carpets and rugs, and it still misses too many small objects.

Roborock QV 35S vs Qrevo S
Our verdict: The QV 35S is the newer version, with a higher suction claim. Tests of both show the same pattern: strong on hard floors, weaker with hair in carpet. Buy whichever is cheaper, because no review shows the newer one cleaning clearly better.
