What reviewers say about each range

eufy

Reviewers like eufy most in the middle of the range. The Omni C28 and E25 earned top marks from Expert Reviews and Expert Reviews, with strong pet-hair and carpet results, and the E25 dodges clutter well. The Omni S2 flagship impressed TechRadar through weeks with a muddy puppy. The roller mops are good on everyday mess but split testers on dried stains: Vacuum Wars scored the S2 below average there. The app is easy, but Vacuum Wars says it lacks the polish and depth of Roborock's.

Roborock

Roborock's robots vacuum well, and the app is the one other brands get measured against: Vacuum Wars calls it one of the best in the business. The Saros 20 cleaned hard floors well in all four tests we use, and RTINGS scored it 8.0 out of 10. Small objects are the weak spot across the range, with cables and socks caught by the Qrevo S Pro T3 and the Qrevo Edge 2 PCWorld. Mopping varies a lot by model: Vacuum Wars scored the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow far below average on dried stains, while Vacuum Wars rated the Edge 2 well above average.

Where they differ

  1. 01

    Obstacles: eufy dodges more

eufy's camera models are the better clutter dodgers. Vacuum Wars gave the Omni S2 a perfect obstacle score, and Vacuum Wars saw the E25 avoid well above the average number of objects. Roborock's results are mixed even at the top: Expert Reviews praised the Saros 20, but RTINGS found it unreliable with pet waste. Cheaper models from both brands run over small things, including eufy's C28, which Trusted Reviews saw miss fake pet mess.

  2. 02

Pet hair: eufy has the edge

TechGearLab rates the E25 the best in its group for heavy shedders, and TechRadar had the S2's roller still looking new after weeks with a shedding puppy. Roborock's budget Q7 M5 is strong too RTINGS, and the Saros 20 left no hair on its brush for Vacuum Wars. The gap shows at mid-range, where Tom's Guide saw clumped cat hair clog the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow's inlet.

  3. 03

Height: Roborock gets under more furniture

Roborock has several robots listed at 7.98cm, including the Saros 20 Roborock and the Qrevo Edge 2 Roborock. eufy's Omni S2 measured 8.5cm for TechRadar, and the C28 is listed at about 11cm, with Expert Reviews reporting 13.1cm. The exception is eufy's budget C10, which RTINGS found fits under an 8cm gap. Measure your sofa before you choose.

  4. 04

    Apps: Roborock goes deeper

Vacuum Wars found eufy's app lacks the polish and depth of Roborock's, and Tom's Guide found far fewer fine-tuning options than Roborock offers. That's not to say eufy's is bad: Expert Reviews rated it among the very best for balancing features and ease of use. If you like tweaking every room, Roborock suits you better.

  5. 05

    Mopping: roller against spinning pads

Most eufy docks wash a roller mop, which suits everyday mess: Vacuum Wars put the C28 among the best mops it has tested. Most Roborocks use spinning pads instead, and the Saros 20's lifted dried coffee for Vacuum Wars. Dried stains catch out models from both: the S2 scored below average for Vacuum Wars, and the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow far below average for Vacuum Wars.

Questions people ask

Is eufy better than Roborock?

For most homes, yes, at mid-range and flagship level. eufy's Omni C28 and E25 earned top marks for value and pet hair Expert Reviews TechGearLab, and its camera models dodge clutter better. Roborock wins at the cheapest end with the Q7 M5 RTINGS, and it has the lower robots and the deeper app.

Which is better for pet hair, eufy or Roborock?

eufy, narrowly. TechGearLab named the E25 the best in its group for heavy shedders, and Vacuum Wars saw the C28 lift all its flattened pet hair. Roborock's Saros 20 and Q7 M5 are good with hair too TechRadar RTINGS, but the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow struggled with embedded hair for RTINGS.

Is eufy a good robot vacuum brand?

Reviewers think so, especially for the money. Expert Reviews called the Omni C28 the best-value robot vacuum and mop it has tested, and Expert Reviews gave the E25 five stars. The main complaints are an app with fewer settings than Roborock's Tom's Guide and docks that get loud when emptying TechGearLab.

Which lasts longer, eufy or Roborock?

Nobody has tested either brand over years. The best evidence is thin: TechRadar used a Roborock Saros 10 for ten months with few rescues, and TechRadar had its first eufy S2 lose contact with the dock after a month before eufy replaced it quickly. One home each isn't enough to call it.

Do eufy robots need eufy's own detergent?

The Omni S2 does: TechRadar and Expert Reviews both flag the ongoing cost of eufy-only detergent refills. The C28 has no detergent slot at all Expert Reviews, and neither do Roborock's Qrevo Edge 2 PCWorld or Qrevo S Pro T3, so you add cleaner by hand.
