TechRadar liked the hardware concept: a mobile camera can look into different rooms instead of being fixed to one wall. Its review highlights the detailed camera, night vision and both physical and app privacy controls. That makes remote viewing the clearest practical reason to consider it.

The same hands-on review found the app, guidance and Alexa integration frustrating. The reviewer also felt the robot lacked the personality suggested by its appearance. Those findings matter if you want something a less technical family member can use without repeated help.

In April 2026, Android Central’s reviewer described using EBO X almost daily to look for a cat and valued its adjustable camera, audio and Alexa support. They also said navigation had improved over time. This is a later firsthand account with a different outcome, not proof of which firmware change resolved another reviewer’s difficulties.

The disagreement makes setup and everyday software behavior important parts of the buying decision. These reports do not establish typical repair costs or the accuracy of care-related alerts. A useful pet-camera experience should not be stretched into a claim that the robot provides dependable emergency monitoring.
