IEEE Spectrum’s reviewer found the supplied adapters straightforward to use, but suitable access to both water and a drain limited placement. The water station and charging station are separate, giving flexibility after installation. This makes the S10 particularly relevant when a permanent water connection fits the room; setup is more involved than filling a freestanding tank.

The same reviewer liked the roller’s floor washing and autonomous water exchanges. Initial mapping was less successful: a run lost its map after a rescue, another missed rooms, and dark carpet confused sensors. The app’s room and floor-type editing helped, but reaching a usable map required patience in that particular home.

One owner described an initially positive experience followed by water-station leakage, a station charging failure replaced by support, and a later side-brush problem with a paid repair estimate. These are self-reported events from one machine. They are useful reasons to understand parts and service arrangements, not evidence of how often every S10 will fail.

The appeal of automatic water management is clear from the successful review installation. It still leaves brushes, filters and the dust station to service, and a failed water component can interrupt the whole routine. Our interpretation is that the S10 suits someone who values the plumbing feature enough to accept setup work and occasional troubleshooting.
