RTINGS found everyday hard-floor debris pickup effective but noticeably weaker carpet cleaning, especially on low pile. Pet hair could remain or get dragged around. Vacuum Wars was less negative, finding roughly average carpet dirt and hair pickup alongside excellent crevice cleaning. The two tests therefore differ in severity, but neither establishes standout carpet performance.

RTINGS found decent stain removal, while the automatic spot-scrubbing system did not consistently revisit every area needing another pass. It also found missed debris at edges and corners. A robot that identifies stains is still dependent on reaching the right floor area, so inspect boundaries and difficult spills rather than assuming the AI label means complete coverage.

Vacuum Wars’ dock successfully extracted accumulated pet hair from a home with two cats, and its collection bin stayed dry in that test. This is direct evidence for the bagless system’s convenience, not just a manufacturer claim. The station also automates mop washing, drying and water handling. Emptying and maintaining the collection container remain physical tasks even without replacement dust bags.

RTINGS found generally capable object avoidance but skipped floor space beside obstacles and trouble with rug tassels. Vacuum Wars measured slower-than-average routing, found long hair wrapping around the brush and criticised the comparatively basic app. Both identified the tall body as a constraint under low furniture. Measure that clearance carefully: strong obstacle recognition cannot compensate for a robot that physically cannot enter the space.
