Omni S2
4 independent reviewsRead the findings →eufy's flagship vacuum and mop, with a self-washing roller mop. It's excellent on carpet and pet hair, and good at dodging clutter. Its mopping is less consistent on dried-on stains, and raised thresholds can trip it up.

What reviewers found
Four tests so far. TechRadar lived with it for several weeks, Expert Reviews and T3 ran hands-on reviews, and Vacuum Wars measured it in its studio. Everyone agrees the vacuuming is a big step up from the S1 Pro and that it dodges clutter very well. They split on two things: how well the roller mop lifts dried-on stains, and how reliably it climbs raised doorway thresholds.

Hard floors
Reviewers rate it highlyTechRadar found it kept hard floors clean through weeks with a muddy puppy, though its side brushes flicked oats about on a single pass. T3 rated its hard-floor vacuuming excellent, and Expert Reviews saw the extending roller reach right to the kitchen cabinets.
Carpet and rugs
Reviewers rate it highlyVacuum Wars measured well-above-average embedded-sand removal from carpet, Expert Reviews found near-perfect carpet pickup, and T3 thought it did a great job on a variety of piles. TechRadar missed no oats on carpet once suction was raised.
Pet hair
Reviewers rate it highlyVacuum Wars found no hair at all wrapped round the brush in its long-hair test, and TechRadar had it cleaning up after a shedding cockapoo puppy for weeks with the roller still looking new.
Mopping
Mixed resultsTechRadar lifted dried ketchup and T3 praised stain removal. Vacuum Wars scored dried stains below average and suggested its low measured water output might explain it, though none of the tests confirms that.
Navigation and obstacles
Reviewers rate it highlyIt's among the best at dodging clutter. Vacuum Wars recorded a perfect obstacle score, TechRadar saw it steer round a shoe, sock and cable, and Expert Reviews found it kept avoiding fake dog mess. Vacuum Wars saw it struggle with a tall single door step.
Dock and upkeep
Reviewers rate it highlyTechRadar found the self-cleaning kept the bin, roller and mop looking new, with quiet emptying and drying, and T3 found the dock low-maintenance. Both TechRadar and Expert Reviews flag the ongoing cost of eufy-only detergent and scent refills.
App and software
Reviewers rate it highlyReviewers rate the app among the best around. TechRadar found it logically laid out for newcomers and power users alike, Expert Reviews called it one of the best balances of features and ease of use, and T3 found it dependable day to day.
Noise
Not enough evidenceOnly TechRadar reported on noise, finding it quiet: 55dB in its quietest mode and 70dB on full power, with a dock that doesn't roar when emptying.
Reliability and support
Not enough evidenceOnly TechRadar reported a fault: its first unit lost contact with the dock after a month, and eufy's support replaced it quickly. None of the reviews we use has run it long-term.
Value
Mixed resultsTechRadar felt its performance justified the high price, and T3 thought it good value once you use its many features. Expert Reviews wasn't convinced the extras are worth the large premium over the cheaper Omni E25.
Verdicts come from independent, hands-on, finished reviews. An area needs at least two of them before we say more than “Not enough evidence”. We don't score robots ourselves. How this works
Carpet and pet hair are strengths
Vacuum Wars measured 87% of embedded sand lifted from carpet, well above its studio average, and no hair at all wrapped round the brush in its long-hair test. TechRadar had it cleaning up after a muddy cockapoo puppy, and once suction was turned up it missed no oats on carpet. Expert Reviews also found near-perfect carpet pickup. If carpet and hair are your daily battle, this is the part of the S2 you can trust most.
The mop splits the testers
TechRadar wiped up dried ketchup, and T3 praised stain removal. Vacuum Wars scored dried stains about 20% below its average and measured low water output, which it thought might explain the result. So the disagreement is still open. Extra passes may help, but none of these tests shows they'll shift every stubborn mark. On wood floors, follow the flooring maker's mopping advice.
Very good at dodging clutter
Vacuum Wars recorded a perfect 24 out of 24 on its obstacle course, including its tougher torture test. TechRadar watched it drive neatly round a shoe, a sock and a USB cable, and Expert Reviews found it one of the few robots that kept avoiding fake dog mess. That's as good as it gets right now, but no tester can promise it'll see every cable in every light, so a quick tidy still helps.
Doorway thresholds: mostly fine, not guaranteed
TechRadar had no trouble getting from bare boards up onto carpet, something the S1 Pro struggled with. Vacuum Wars tried a 32mm single threshold, and the S2 got over it once in three attempts. The two homes had different transitions, and Vacuum Wars notes that eufy's 4.2cm figure applies to double-step thresholds. If you have a tall single step between rooms, measure it and be ready to help.
Self-cleaning is excellent, one unit failed
After weeks of daily use with a puppy, TechRadar found the bin, rollers and mop still looked new. Its first unit lost contact with the dock after a month and was replaced. eufy's support sorted it quickly and the second one worked throughout. That's one failure, not a failure rate. Empty the dirty-water tank often, because TechRadar found it smells if left for a couple of weeks.
Slower and pricier to run
Vacuum Wars measured below-average coverage per minute and per charge, so a large, open home may take longer or need a recharge. TechRadar and Expert Reviews both flagged the running costs: eufy-only detergent, eufy-only scent refills and a pricey parts kit. The dust bags are generic, which helps a little. Budget for those supplies before you buy, not after.
Our take
Should you buy the Omni S2?
Best for: Homes with carpet, hard floors and a pet that sheds. Skip it if: Dried kitchen stains are your main cleaning problem.
Consider the S2 for mixed carpet and hard floors where pet hair is the daily problem. Carpet pickup and brush tangling tested well, while stain removal was less consistent. You still need to refill water, empty the dirty tank and clean parts. The S1 Pro mops well but is weak on carpet; the Saros 10R is another strong mop, with mixed results on embedded pet hair.
The Omni S2 is the top of eufy's range and replaces the Omni S1 Pro. It keeps the long roller mop that washes itself as it goes and adds far stronger suction, a taller claimed climb over doorway thresholds and camera-based navigation with no turret on top, so it's 8.5cm tall. The dock is tall but slim, and the detergent and scent capsules are eufy-only.

TechRadar lifted dried ketchup from wood and T3 called the stain removal as good as it has seen, but Vacuum Wars scored dried stains below average and thinks very little water reaches the floor. Vacuum Wars also got it over a tall single door step only once in three tries. TechRadar's first unit lost contact with the dock after a month and was replaced, and TechRadar and Expert Reviews both flag the ongoing cost of eufy-only refills.

The questions people ask about this one
Will it avoid cables and pet mess?
It did very well in testing. Vacuum Wars scored 24 out of 24, TechRadar saw it avoid a USB cable, and Expert Reviews found it avoided fake dog mess. Those tests can't promise it'll avoid real pet waste or every thin cable, so clear hazards before running it.
Can it cross rugs and raised thresholds between rooms?
Better than the S1 Pro. It spots thick rugs and raises itself, and TechRadar had no trouble moving from floorboards onto carpet. Vacuum Wars saw it clear a 32mm single step only once in three tries, so measure tall thresholds before you buy.
Does it fit under low furniture?
TechRadar measured it at 8.5cm and found it went under much of the test home's furniture. Measure the tightest part of your own gap and leave room for movement, because an 8.5cm opening isn't guaranteed clearance. Look for low crossbars as well as the visible front edge.
How big is the dock, and is it loud?
It's tall but slim: Expert Reviews lists it at 67cm high with a narrow footprint. TechRadar found emptying far quieter than expected and mop drying very quiet, though drying takes several hours.
How often do I have to empty or refill it?
The dust bag is rated for up to 68 days, per the specifications. You'll refill clean water and tip away dirty water, and TechRadar says do that often because it smells. The detergent and scent capsules are eufy-only and need restocking.
Alternatives
Other robot vacuums to compare.

Omni S1 Pro
Why consider it: Its roller mop tested well for washing hard floors, including dried stains.
The compromise: It's weak at lifting hair from carpet and its cautious avoidance can leave edges missed.

Saros 10
Same listed price as the Omni S2
Why consider it: Home testers praise its pickup of dog hair and its knack for getting under low furniture.
The compromise: Its vibrating mop pad did poorly on dried stains in Vacuum Wars' test.

Saros 10R
Why consider it: It also scored a perfect obstacle-avoidance result and mops dried stains well.
The compromise: A lab test found it leaves a lot of embedded pet hair in carpet.

X50 Ultra Complete
Why consider it: Climbs raised transitions and gets under sofas thanks to a retracting tower.
The compromise: Cleaning results are less consistent, with fine dust and edges needing attention in lab tests.
