TechGearLab named eufy's Omni E25 the best in its group for heavily shedding pets, and Vacuum Wars saw the Omni C28 lift all its flattened pet hair from carpet with nothing wrapped round the brush. • Cables, socks and pet mess on the flooreufy

eufy's Omni S2 got a perfect obstacle score from Vacuum Wars, and the E25 mostly steered round cords, shoes and pet accidents for TechGearLab. Roomba's camera models dodge well too, with Just A Dad Approved watching the Plus 575 steer round a fake dog mess, but the 105 Combo and Plus 415 have no camera and ran over cables for Just A Dad Approved and Ideal Home.

  • Mopping kitchen floorsRoomba

This is Roomba's best area. Xataka calls the Max 775 Combo the best mopper it has tested, and connect saw the Plus 575 lift dried ketchup first time. eufy's roller mops suit everyday mess, with Vacuum Wars putting the C28 among the best it has tested, but dried stains caught out the Omni S2 for Vacuum Wars.

  • Very low sofas and bedsRoomba

Roomba's slim Plus 415 and Plus 575 are 8.35cm tall, per iRobot, and Netzwelt got the 575 under a shelf no other robot had reached. eufy's Omni S2 measured 8.5cm for TechRadar, and the C28 is listed at about 11cm, with Expert Reviews reporting 13.1cm.

  • Best value for a self-washing roboteufy

Neither cheap robot dodges clutter. eufy's Auto-Empty C10 is slim, empties itself into a bag and fits under an 8cm gap for RTINGS, though it bumps into furniture repeatedly. Roomba's 105 Combo adds a mop, but Just A Dad Approved scored it 4.8 out of 10 and Reviews.org saw it smear sauce and honey across the floor.

Roomba's Plus 575 runs them close for a small flat, with a camera and a slim body connect liked, but the Plus 415 can't see clutter and wraps hair round its brush Ideal Home.

What reviewers say about each range

eufy

Reviewers like eufy most in the middle of the range. The Omni C28 and E25 earned top marks from Expert Reviews and Expert Reviews, with strong pet-hair and carpet results, and the E25 dodges clutter well. The Omni S2 flagship impressed TechRadar through weeks with a muddy puppy. The roller mops are good on everyday mess but split testers on dried stains: Vacuum Wars scored the S2 below average there. The app is easy, but Vacuum Wars says it lacks polish and depth, and the cheapest model, the Auto-Empty C10, has no real obstacle avoidance RTINGS.

Roomba

iRobot has rebuilt the Roomba range around laser mapping, and the reviews are mixed. The better models get real praise: Xataka calls the Max 775 Combo the best mopper it has tried, and connect and Netzwelt liked how the slim Plus 575 cleans under furniture. The cheaper ones disappoint more often, with Just A Dad Approved scoring the 105 Combo 4.8 out of 10 and Vacuum Wars measuring the worst deep-carpet result it had seen from a Roomba on the Plus 405. App and connection trouble keep coming up, from Wi-Fi dropouts on the Plus 575 Just A Dad Approved to a buggy app on the Combo 10 Max TechRadar. iRobot also went through bankruptcy and a takeover in late 2025, and its chief executive told TechRadar that the app, warranties and updates carry on.

Where they differ

  1. 01

Pet hair and carpet: eufy pulls ahead

TechGearLab rates the E25 the best in its group for heavy shedders, Vacuum Wars saw the C28 lift all its flattened pet hair, and TechRadar had the S2's roller still looking new after weeks with a shedding puppy. Roomba is patchier: Vacuum Wars recorded its worst-ever Roomba deep-carpet score on the Plus 405, Ideal Home found hair wrapped round the Plus 415's roller, and connect found even the well-liked Plus 575 slower and less thorough on deep carpet.

  2. 02

Dodging clutter: eufy's camera models lead

Vacuum Wars gave eufy's Omni S2 a perfect obstacle score, and Vacuum Wars saw the E25 avoid well above the average number of objects. Roomba's Max 775 and Plus 575 are good too, with Just A Dad Approved seeing the Max 775 dodge cords. Below that, neither brand fits a camera and both run things over: RTINGS found eufy's C10 has no real obstacle avoidance, and Ideal Home called the Plus 415's avoidance the worst it tested this year.

  3. 03

    Mopping: Roomba's strongest suit

If you mostly want clean kitchen floors, Roomba's better docks hold their own. Xataka says the Max 775 Combo mops better than anything else it has tested, and connect saw the Plus 575 lift juice and dried ketchup on the first pass. eufy's roller mops suit everyday mess, and Vacuum Wars put the C28 among the best it has tested, but dried stains caught out the S2 for Vacuum Wars. Avoid Roomba's cheapest drag-pad models for spills: the 105 Combo smeared sauce and honey for Reviews.org.

  4. 04

Low furniture: Roomba's slim models win

Roomba's Plus 415 and Plus 575 are 8.35cm tall, per iRobot, and Netzwelt found the 575 fitted under a shelf no other robot had reached. eufy's Omni S2 measured 8.5cm for TechRadar, and the C28 is listed at about 11cm, with Expert Reviews reporting 13.1cm. eufy's budget C10 is the exception, fitting under an 8cm gap for RTINGS. Measure your sofa before you choose.

  5. 05

    Apps and reliability

Neither app is the best around. Vacuum Wars found eufy's lacks polish and depth, though Expert Reviews rated it among the very best for balancing features and ease of use. Roomba's complaints are more about reliability: Just A Dad Approved had the Plus 575 drop off Wi-Fi two or three times a week, and TechRadar and Vacuum Wars both found the Combo 10 Max's app buggy and its dock unreliable. eufy had a hiccup too, with TechRadar's first S2 losing contact with its dock after a month before eufy replaced it quickly.
