What reviewers found

Three home tests, mostly positive about the cleaning. Netzwelt and connect tested it in Germany and liked how it reaches under furniture and how it mops, though both found it less convincing on deep carpet. Just A Dad Approved also rated its mopping and obstacle avoidance, then declined to recommend it because it kept dropping off Wi-Fi. Dried ketchup and how reliably it spots obstacles are where the testers disagree.

Netzwelt, hands-on, Jul 2026 · connect, hands-on, Sept 2026 · Just A Dad Approved, hands-on

  • Hard floors

    Reviewers rate it highly

Netzwelt saw it pick up almost all its test dirt, with clean corners if slightly less thorough edges, and connect found it reliably collected oats, coffee beans and fine grounds. Its slim body reaches under low furniture others can't.

  • Carpet and rugs

    Mixed results

Fine on normal carpet, slower on deep pile. connect found it coped with high-pile carpet but was slower and missed some coarse dirt, while Just A Dad Approved found it handled a thick rug well but flipped thinner rugs.

  • Pet hair

    Mixed results

connect found it picked up long hair reliably, but Netzwelt and Just A Dad Approved both saw hair wrap the brushes, though Netzwelt found it pulls off easily.

  • Mopping

    Reviewers rate it highly

connect saw juice and ketchup, including dried residue, lifted on the first pass, and Just A Dad Approved found the mopping better than expected, with the extending pad reaching round chair legs. Netzwelt cleared dried coffee easily but not dried ketchup.

  • Navigation and obstacles

    Mixed results

Just A Dad Approved found it avoided fake dog mess easily, but Netzwelt saw it sometimes run over cables it had spotted, connect saw it struggle with bathroom scales and a flat chair leg, and Just A Dad Approved found it wedges itself under low furniture.

  • Dock and upkeep

    Not enough evidence

Only connect judged the dock, finding it pleasingly small for one that empties, hot-washes and dries the pads and doses solution, which keeps upkeep low.

  • App and software

    Mixed results

connect found the app clear and modern with plenty of settings, and Netzwelt found it intuitive but short on options. Just A Dad Approved found it serviceable but limited, and had to force-close it because it went stale overnight.

  • Noise

    Not enough evidence

Only connect judged noise, finding it pleasantly moderate in normal use but noticeably louder on carpet, where it boosts suction.

  • Reliability and support

    Not enough evidence

Only Just A Dad Approved reported problems: over months it dropped off Wi-Fi two or three times a week on two networks, needing a reboot each time. Neither German test reported connection trouble.

  • Value

    Mixed results

Netzwelt found it offers high-end features at a mid-range price. Just A Dad Approved would only recommend it conditionally for small homes because of its Wi-Fi drops and small battery, and says skip it for anything larger.

Verdicts come from independent, hands-on, finished reviews. An area needs at least two of them before we say more than “Not enough evidence”. We don't score robots ourselves. How this works

Reaches where others don't

Netzwelt found it was the only robot it has tested that fits under a shelf with just millimetres to spare, and credits it with a clear lead in coverage, partly because it keeps its side brush and one pad pushed out under radiators. connect saw it clean under a TV unit with about 10cm clearance and switch on a light in dark spots. The flip side, says Just A Dad Approved, is that it wedges itself under low furniture more often, so expect to add a few no-go zones.

Mopping mostly impresses

connect found it removed juice and ketchup, including dried residue, on the first pass, and needed no hand-wiping after its scrubbing mode. Netzwelt disagrees on ketchup: dried coffee came up easily, but dried ketchup beat it because it moves fast with little overlap. Just A Dad Approved calls the mopping better than expected, with the extending pad reaching round chair legs, but says a guard keeps the pad off the wall and it lifts the pads a beat late at carpet edges.

Good vacuuming, weaker on thick carpet

Netzwelt measured 29.1g picked up from 30g of test dirt, with corners clean but edges less thorough. connect saw oats, coffee beans, fine grounds and long hair picked up reliably, but on high-pile carpet it was slower and missed some coarse dirt, and got noticeably louder. Just A Dad Approved found it handled a thick rug well but flipped thinner rugs. Both Netzwelt and Just A Dad Approved saw hair wrap the brushes, though Netzwelt found it pulls off easily.

Good at dodging, not perfect

Just A Dad Approved found it avoided a fake dog mess with no trouble and rates its camera a big step up from the Plus 415 and 515. Netzwelt found it steers precisely round furniture but sometimes runs over cables it has spotted, and doesn't go back to places a person was blocking. In connect's test it went round cables but struggled with bathroom scales and a flat chair leg. Pick up cables and anything flat before a run.

Wi-Fi drops and a small battery

Just A Dad Approved had it drop off Wi-Fi two or three times a week on two different networks, each time needing a five-to-ten-minute reboot, and about 60% of roughly 150 viewers who answered his poll reported the same. He also needed two charges to clean his home of about 2,000 sq ft, and there's no do-not-disturb setting, so it can resume at night. Neither German test reported connection trouble: Netzwelt found the app simple if short on settings, and connect found it clear and modern.

Our take

Should you buy the Roomba Plus 575 Combo?

Best for: Small homes with low furniture and little space for a dock. Skip it if: You want to clean a large home in one charge.

a good buy for a flat or smaller house with low furniture and mostly hard floors, if you want a dock that handles nearly all the upkeep. For a bigger home, connect recommends the Roborock Qrevo Edge 2.

The Plus 575 Combo tops iRobot's compact Plus range. It shares the slim 8.35cm body of the Plus 415 and Plus 515, so it slides under furniture most robots can't reach, and adds a front camera for objects and a dock that doses cleaning solution as well as emptying the bin and hot-washing and drying the pads. One spinning pad and the side brush push out towards edges.

Three testers mostly liked the cleaning. Netzwelt found it the only robot it has tested that fits under its shelf and saw it pick up almost all its test dirt, and connect found it collected oats, coffee beans and fine grounds reliably. Both German tests found it slower and less thorough on deep carpet. On mopping, connect saw dried ketchup lifted on the first pass, but Netzwelt found dried ketchup beat it. Netzwelt saw it sometimes run over cables it had spotted, and Just A Dad Approved found it wedges itself under low furniture. His bigger complaint is software. Over months it dropped off Wi-Fi two or three times a week on two networks, needing a reboot each time, and he needed two charges for a large house. Neither German test had connection trouble. The cleaning solution comes in iRobot's own bottle.

The questions people ask about this one

Will it avoid cables and pet mess?

Mostly. Just A Dad Approved saw it avoid a fake dog mess, and connect saw it go round cables. But Netzwelt found it sometimes drives over cables it has recognised, and connect saw it trip on flat objects like bathroom scales. Tidy cables away to be safe.

Does it fit under low furniture?

Better than most. It's 8.35cm tall and 29.8cm wide, per the specifications, and Netzwelt found it squeezed under a shelf no other robot it has tested could reach. It can also wedge itself under things, so Just A Dad Approved suggests setting no-go zones.

Can it cross rugs and raised thresholds between rooms?

iRobot claims it climbs 35mm and lifts its pads 10mm before rugs, per the specifications. Just A Dad Approved barely noticed any climbing difference from the 515 and saw thin rugs flipped over, partly because the pads lift late. connect found it coped with its high-pile rug, if slowly.

How big is the dock?

It's 33cm deep, 34cm wide and 48.5cm tall, per the specifications, which connect found pleasingly small for a dock that empties, washes, dries and doses solution. The front comes off to reach the dust bag and the solution bottle.

How often do I have to empty or refill anything?

iRobot claims up to three months between dust-bag changes and up to 40 days of mopping from the tanks, per the specifications. Just A Dad Approved notes the solution must be iRobot's own bottle and the bin filter can't be cleaned, only replaced.

Will it cope with a large home?

Not easily. Just A Dad Approved needed two full charges to finish his home of about 2,000 sq ft, where most robots need one, and with no do-not-disturb setting it can restart in the small hours. He recommends it for flats and smaller houses.

Qrevo Edge 2

Why consider it: Also slim, and it tested superbly on carpet and dried-on stains.

The compromise: It's weak at dodging clutter and at climbing doorway thresholds much over 2cm.

eufy Omni C20

Omni C20

Why consider it: A slim, lower-priced robot with a dock that empties and washes the pads, good on hard floors.

The compromise: It can't see small obstacles, so you tidy up first.

MOVA P10 Pro Ultra
MOVA

P10 Pro Ultra

Why consider it: Runs for ages on a charge, so it suits larger homes, and its dock washes the mops in hot water.

The compromise: All three tests found it weak on pet hair in carpet.
