L60 Ultra FE
Limited evidenceRead the findings →The cheapest of Dreame's L60 robots, with the same very hot mop-washing dock as its pricier siblings. It suits mostly hard floors and strong mopping on a budget. It's very poor at dodging obstacles, though.

What we know
Vacuum Wars tested the FE alongside the L60 Ultra PE in its lab and published both sets of results in the same review. It found the FE mopped stains well, covered the floor quickly and kept hair off the brush, but it avoided only 2 of 24 objects and lifted barely half the pet hair from carpet. Nobody has tried it at home yet, so the dock, the app, real-world threshold climbing and day-to-day reliability are still unchecked.
Vacuum Wars, lab test (FE results published inside the L60 Ultra PE review)
Very poor at avoiding clutter
Vacuum Wars recorded 2 of 24 objects avoided, the lowest obstacle-avoidance score it had ever measured, against an average of 16 and the PE's 21. The FE uses a structured-light sensor rather than the PE's camera, per the specifications. In practice, that means picking up cables, socks, toys and anything a pet might leave before every run, or expect to rescue it.
Mops better than the PE
Vacuum Wars scored it 137 on dried stains, above the 108 average and well ahead of the PE's 85. It puts down more water than the PE, though still less than the average robot, which helps with stains without soaking floors. The mop pads lift 10.5mm on carpet, per the specifications, but can't be dropped off in the dock.
Fine on carpet, weak on pet hair
Vacuum Wars measured 80% of sand removed from carpet, a little above the 78% average and well short of the PE's 94%. Flattened pet hair was the clear weak spot: 51% lifted, against an 82% average and the PE's 100%. Its cutting brush did well on tangles, with 7% hair wrap against a 26% average. For carpet homes with shedding pets, the PE is the better buy.
Quick coverage, low thresholds only
Vacuum Wars found it covered the floor faster than average and faster than the PE, though its battery lasted a little less per percentage point than average. Dreame rates it for a single 2cm threshold, per the specifications, lower than the PE's 2.2cm. If your doorways have raised thresholds, measure them first.
Covers the L60 Ultra FE only. Its results come from Vacuum Wars' L60 Ultra PE review, which tested both models. The PE, L60 Ultra and Pro Ultra are different robots.
Our take
Should you buy the L60 Ultra FE?
Best for: Homes where washing hard floors is the main job. Skip it if: You have lots of carpet or leave small objects on the floor.
Consider it for mostly hard floors and strong mopping on a budget, once more reviews arrive. With pets and carpet or a cluttered floor, the L60 Ultra PE did far better in the same test.
The L60 Ultra FE is the entry model of Dreame's L60 family, below the Ultra PE, the L60 Ultra and the Pro Ultra. It shares the same dock, which empties the bin, washes the two spinning pads in water heated to 100°C, dries them, refills the robot and adds detergent. Dreame saved money on the brush, the sensors and the suction, and the pads can't be left at the dock. Of the markets we cover it's sold only in the US so far.
Vacuum Wars measured the FE alongside the L60 Ultra PE in its lab and found it mopped stains well, covered floor quickly and kept hair off the brush, but it avoided almost nothing on the obstacle course and left a lot of pet hair in carpet. Its 2cm threshold rating is lower than the PE's, so check your doorways.

The questions people ask about this one
Will it avoid cables and pet mess?
No. Vacuum Wars recorded only 2 of 24 objects avoided, the lowest it had ever measured. It has a structured-light sensor but no camera, per the specifications. Clear the floor before every run, and keep it out of anywhere a pet might have had an accident.
Can it leave the mops in the dock for carpet?
No. Dreame lists mop removal as unavailable on the FE, per the specifications, so the pads stay on. They lift 10.5mm when it finds carpet. Vacuum Wars didn't test how dry rugs stay, so use no-mop zones on deep or pale rugs.
Can it cross rugs and raised thresholds between rooms?
Dreame rates it for a single 2cm threshold, per the specifications, and Vacuum Wars notes it has a simpler threshold system than the PE. None of the reviews we use has measured its climbing yet. Standard doorway thresholds should be fine; anything taller or stepped points to the L60 Pro Ultra.
How often do I have to empty or refill anything?
Not often. The dock empties the 250ml bin into a 3.2-litre bag that Dreame says lasts up to 100 days, and holds 4.5 litres of clean and 4 litres of dirty water, per the specifications. Vacuum Wars didn't report on the dock's day-to-day upkeep.
Alternatives
Other robot vacuums to compare.

L60 Ultra PE
Why consider it: Vacuum Wars measured it among the best for carpet and pet hair, and it avoided 21 of 24 objects.
The compromise: Its mopping is gentle, and one test saw it stop at a 25mm step.

Omni C28
Why consider it: Strong pickup, excellent mopping from a self-rinsing roller, and a full dock for less than a flagship.
The compromise: No camera, so small clutter and chair legs can still catch it out.

P10 Pro Ultra
Why consider it: A full-dock robot that's good on hard floors and runs for ages on a charge.
The compromise: All three tests found it weak on pet hair in carpet.

L40s Ultra
Why consider it: Excellent on carpet and long hair in the lab, and it can leave its mops in the dock.
The compromise: It's also poor at dodging small objects.
