What we know
ECOVACS's spec sheet, via ECOVACS, describes a full dock that empties the bin, washes the pads in hot water and dries them. The only first-hand account is One owner on Reddit, one owner who found it quieter than their previous Dreame but wondered how often the extending mop was actually used and whether the pads stayed wet. Searches also turn up plenty of pages about other T30 models, which don't apply here.
Quieter than one owner expected
According to One owner on Reddit, the T30C was quieter than the owner's previous Dreame, and at first they could barely hear a difference between suction settings, though they later found a small one. It's one owner's impression rather than a measured figure, and they didn't say how loud the dock is while emptying or drying.
Check the mop on a full run
The same owner, per One owner on Reddit, found the extending mop wasn't always used in the kitchen, and the pads seemed to dry out before the robot went back to have them rewashed. Nobody in the thread found a cause or a fix. If you buy one, watch a full kitchen run and check the settings for how often it extends the pad and goes back to rewash.
What ECOVACS lists, and what's unchecked
ECOVACS lists a dock that empties the bin into a 3-litre bag, washes the pads in 75°C water and dries them at 45°C, plus an extending mop pad, a hair-resistant brush and pads that lift 9mm over carpet. That's the full set of dock chores at this price. Nobody has checked any of it independently yet: pickup, mopping, obstacle avoidance and dock noise are all open questions.
Don't mix up the T30 models
Search results and forums often confuse the T30C with the T30 OMNI, T30 PRO and T30C Gen2. One owner on Reddit is about the original T30C, the model on ECOVACS' UK product page. Reviews of the other T30 robots don't transfer, because suction, docks and mops differ. Check the exact name on any listing before relying on a review.
Covers the original T30C, not the T30C Gen2.
Our take
Should you buy the DEEBOT T30C?
Best for: Homes with mostly hard floors that are kept clear of clutter. Skip it if: You want a stronger record in independent tests before buying.
There is too little independent evidence to recommend the original T30C confidently. Compare the better-documented Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3, whose obstacle tests disagree, or the slimmer T50 PRO OMNI if furniture clearance matters. Check the exact model name: results for the T30C Gen2 and other T30 variants don't tell you how the original T30C performs.
The original T30C is a lower-positioned model in ECOVACS's T-series. The dock empties the bin into a bag, washes the two spinning pads in hot water, dries them and adds detergent. One pad swings out along skirting boards, and a raised sensor handles mapping, so it's about 10cm tall.
The one first-hand account comes from an owner on Reddit, who found it quieter than their previous Dreame but raised a question about the extending mop. Everything else comes from the ECOVACS spec sheet. ECOVACS has since launched a T30C Gen2 in Europe, and listings often mix the two up, along with the T30 OMNI and T30 PRO, so check the exact model name before you buy.

The questions people ask about this one
Does it fit under low furniture?
It's about 10cm tall with the laser turret, per the specifications. That's taller than slim rivals like ECOVACS's own T50 PRO OMNI at 8.1cm, so measure the gap under your sofa and bed first.
Can it cross rugs and raised thresholds between rooms?
ECOVACS says it climbs 20mm thresholds, lifts its pads 9mm on carpet and can vacuum carpets before mopping, per the specifications. Nobody has tested any of this independently, so treat taller doorway thresholds and thick rugs as a risk.
How big is the dock, and is it loud?
The dock is 35cm wide, 47.7cm deep and 53.3cm tall with its base, per the specifications. One owner found the robot quieter than their old Dreame, per One owner on Reddit, but nobody has measured the dock while it empties or dries.
Is the T30C the same as the T30C Gen2?
They're different robots. ECOVACS UK lists the original T30C, while its European stores now list the Gen2, per ECOVACS. This page covers only the original. Check the exact name on the listing before you buy.
Alternatives
Other robot vacuums to compare.

L10s Ultra Gen 3
£270 less than the DEEBOT T30C
Why consider it: Much of a pricier Dreame's automation for a mid-range outlay, and testers liked its cleaning.
The compromise: Testers disagree about how well it spots small obstacles.

DEEBOT T50 PRO OMNI
£200 less than the DEEBOT T30C
Why consider it: An 8.1cm body for lower furniture, with more independent testing of vacuuming.
The compromise: Mopping with plain water is patchier, and one tester found it snagged on cables.

Omni C28
Why consider it: Testers found its vacuuming and mopping far better than the price suggests, with a full dock.
The compromise: No camera, so small clutter and chair legs can catch it out.
