What reviewers found

Three tests of this model: Les Numériques in its lab, Clubic at home, and Homes & Gardens over four weeks with a dog and children. All three praise the vacuuming, and Homes & Gardens and Les Numériques confirm it slips under low furniture. They disagree on obstacles: Les Numériques and Homes & Gardens had no trouble, while Clubic had to free it from cables and chair legs. Mopping ranges from impressive for Homes & Gardens to streaky with plain water for Clubic.

Les Numériques, lab test, Apr 2025 · Clubic, hands-on, May 2025 · Homes & Gardens, hands-on, 4 weeks at home, Aug 2026

  • Hard floors

    Reviewers rate it highly

Clubic found near-perfect pickup of small and large debris, and Homes & Gardens saw cereal and lentils go straight away. Les Numériques measured good pickup at standard power, and it slips under low sofas and tables to reach dust other robots miss.

  • Carpet and rugs

    Reviewers rate it highly

Les Numériques measured strong pickup on thin carpet, and Clubic found rugs cleaned properly. Homes & Gardens needed several passes to clear sugar from carpet.

  • Pet hair

    Not enough evidence

Only Homes & Gardens tested it with a pet, finding dog hair cleared from both carpet and hard floors with nothing wrapped round the brush.

  • Mopping

    Mixed results

Homes & Gardens lifted ketchup but needed a hand mop for mustard, Les Numériques found weak results along walls, and Clubic saw streaks in automatic mode with plain water. Pick water settings that suit your floor and use only the cleaner and dose ECOVACS allows.

  • Navigation and obstacles

    Mixed results

Les Numériques and Homes & Gardens found it kept clear of cables and shoes and got under low furniture without sticking. Clubic had to free it from an iron cable, a charger lead and low chair legs several times.

  • Dock and upkeep

    Mixed results

Homes & Gardens found the dock handled most upkeep, but still checked the brush every couple of weeks. Les Numériques found the filter clogged quickly and emptying sometimes left heavy debris in the robot.

  • App and software

    Mixed results

Homes & Gardens rated the app highly. Clubic couldn't get the YIKO voice assistant to respond in French or English and found no Matter support for Apple Home or Google Home.

  • Noise

    Mixed results

Acceptable rather than quiet. Les Numériques measured up to 64dB while the dock empties, and Homes & Gardens found the drying hum lasted a few hours but was never a real problem.

  • Reliability and support

    Not enough evidence

None of the reviews we use has run it long-term or judged ECOVACS's support. Homes & Gardens's four weeks raised no faults beyond a long first firmware update.

  • Value

    Not enough evidence

None of the reviews we use judged whether it's good value compared with rivals.

Verdicts come from independent, hands-on, finished reviews. An area needs at least two of them before we say more than “Not enough evidence”. We don't score robots ourselves. How this works

Gets under the sofa

Homes & Gardens watched it clean under a sofa, tables, chairs and a dining unit without getting stuck. Les Numériques points out that, because the laser sensor is built into the front, it doesn't need to stop or be told where low furniture is. If dust under a bed or sofa is the chore you most want rid of, this is the main reason to pick the T50 over taller robots.

A good vacuum on every floor

Les Numériques measured 86% pickup on hard floor and 94% on thin carpet at standard power, and maximum power barely helped. Clubic found near-perfect pickup of small and large debris and rugs cleaned properly. Homes & Gardens saw cereal and lentils go straight away, sugar take several passes on carpet, and pet hair cleared from both floors with nothing wrapped round the brush. You can leave it on standard power most days.

Cables split the testers

Les Numériques saw it finish its obstacle courses cleanly, keeping cables and fabric at a distance, and Homes & Gardens found it spotted cables and shoes consistently. Clubic's home was a different story: it got tangled in an iron's cable and a laptop charger lead, and stuck on low chair legs three or four times, though it avoided slippers and toys. None of the reviews explains the difference, so tidy loose cables before scheduled runs.

Mopping is fine, not special

Homes & Gardens lifted ketchup on the first pass, but mustard needed a hand mop. Les Numériques found weaker cleaning along walls, while Clubic saw streaks with plain water in automatic mode and better results after changing settings. Start with the robot's instructions and your flooring's water limits, only add an approved cleaner at the stated dose, and expect some stubborn marks to need doing by hand.

Long runs, slow charging, some chores

Les Numériques got nearly four hours of vacuuming at standard power but about five hours to recharge, and Clubic also measured more than four and a half hours from empty. Les Numériques found the filter clogged quickly and emptying sometimes left heavy debris behind. Homes & Gardens still checked the brush every couple of weeks and noted a 20-minute firmware update before its first clean. The dock helps, but it doesn't do everything.

This covers the original T50 Pro Omni, not the T50 Pro Omni Gen3 or T50 Max Pro Omni.

Our take

Should you buy the DEEBOT T50 PRO OMNI?

Best for: Homes with low sofas and beds to clean underneath. Skip it if: Dried kitchen stains are your main cleaning problem.

buy it if low furniture is your main problem and you want a capable daily vacuum that mops lightly. If stubborn stains matter more, the T80 Omni's roller mop is the better ECOVACS.

The T50 Pro Omni is ECOVACS's thin mid-range robot. Its laser sensor is built into the front rather than sitting in a turret, so it's 8.1cm tall and slides under furniture that stops most robots. It mops with two spinning pads, one of which swings out towards walls, and the dock empties it, washes the pads in hot water and dries them.

The questions people ask about this one

Does it fit under low furniture?

Yes, that's its strength. It's 8.1cm tall with no turret, per the specifications, and Homes & Gardens had it cleaning under a sofa, tables and a dining unit without getting stuck. Measure the gap under your furniture; most robots need 10cm or more.

Will it avoid cables and pet mess?

Results vary. Les Numériques and Homes & Gardens found it kept clear of cables, but Clubic had to rescue it from an iron cable and a laptop charger lead. None of the three says how it handles pet waste, so don't leave it running unattended with an accident-prone pet.

Can it leave the mops in the dock for carpet?

No. The pads lift 9mm and can't be left at the dock, per the specifications, so they may still touch thicker carpet. Use carpet avoidance, keep those rugs off its route, or take off damp pads where the instructions allow. A vacuum-only setting on its own won't stop a wet pad touching the pile.

How big is the dock, and is it loud?

The dock is 35cm wide, 47.7cm deep with its ramp and 53.3cm tall, per the specifications. Les Numériques measured up to 64dB when it empties the robot. Homes & Gardens found emptying brief and the drying hum lasting a few hours, but never a real problem.

Do the voice and smart home features work?

Partly. Clubic couldn't get the chat-style YIKO-GPT assistant to respond in French or English, and found no Matter support for Apple Home or Google Home. Homes & Gardens lists Alexa and Google Assistant voice control and rates the app itself highly.
