What we know
YourLifeUpdated, an Italian site, used it at home for more than four weeks. It rated the vacuuming and mopping highly for the class and liked how the slim body reaches under low furniture. It found the edges needed extra passes, thin cables and fake pet mess went unnoticed, and some settings are buried in the app.
YourLifeUpdated, hands-on, Over 4 weeks at home, Jun 2026
Low enough for most furniture
YourLifeUpdated measured it at 8.1cm tall with no turret on top and said it gets under the lowest furniture in the house, which few robots at this price manage. It mapped the home in five minutes and split the rooms correctly, though it didn't name them. The map isn't updated as doors open and close, so layout changes mean remapping.
Good pickup, but corners take passes
YourLifeUpdated needed three passes to collect every crumb from its test area: the first left some in corners and along edges, the second left three or four. The side brush doesn't swing out, but its long bristles got close to skirting boards. No hair wrapped round the brushes during the test. It's a strong daily vacuum for the class, not a flagship.
Mops well, except in grout
YourLifeUpdated found white marker came off in one pass, and dried coffee almost entirely in one and completely in two. It left little water behind. Dried dirt in tile grout wouldn't shift even after several passes. The robot can't lift its brushes while mopping, and the side brush keeps spinning in mop-only mode.
Clear thin cables and pet mess
YourLifeUpdated saw it steer round large and medium objects and a bunch of keys, but it didn't see thin cables and drove over fake pet poo. It has a camera, yet it doesn't photograph obstacles or mark them on the map. If you have a puppy or cables on the floor, tidy up first.

Our take
Should you buy the DEEBOT T50 PRO OMNI Gen3?
Best for: Homes with low sofas and beds to clean underneath. Skip it if: You want a stronger record in independent tests before buying.
worth a look if low furniture is your main problem and you want a full dock without flagship money, as long as you accept there's one test behind it. The original T50 PRO OMNI has been tested more widely, and the MOVA P50 Pro Ultra can leave its mops in the dock if thick rugs matter.
The T50 PRO OMNI Gen3 replaces the original T50 PRO OMNI. It keeps the 8.1cm body with the laser built in rather than on a turret, so it slides under low sofas and beds. ECOVACS has raised the claimed suction a lot, updated the anti-tangle brush and moved to a hotter mop wash. The dock empties the bin, washes and dries the pads, adds detergent and refills the robot.
YourLifeUpdated, an Italian site, used it for more than four weeks at home, rated the vacuuming and mopping highly for the class and liked how the slim body reached under low furniture. It found the edges needed extra passes, and the robot missed thin cables and fake pet mess. The remaining specifications come from ECOVACS. The side brush doesn't swing out, and the pads lift over rugs but can't be left behind in the dock.

The questions people ask about this one
Does it fit under low furniture?
That's its strength. It's 8.1cm tall with the laser built into the body, per the specifications, and YourLifeUpdated found it reached under the lowest furniture in its home. Measure your gaps: most robots with a turret need about 10cm.
Will it avoid cables and pet mess?
Not reliably. YourLifeUpdated found it avoided most larger objects and keys, but missed thin cables and drove over fake pet poo. Pick up cables and keep it away from pet accidents.
Can it leave the mops in the dock for carpet?
No. The pads lift up to 9mm over rugs, per the specifications, but YourLifeUpdated confirms they can't be dropped off in the dock. For thick rugs, set them to vacuum only or no-go in the app.
How often do I have to empty or refill anything?
The dock empties the bin into a 3-litre bag and has 4-litre clean and dirty water tanks, per the specifications. YourLifeUpdated found the removable washing tray gathers dirt over time, so rinse it now and then.

DEEBOT T50 PRO OMNI
£0.95 more than the DEEBOT T50 PRO OMNI Gen3
Why consider it: The same slim body, getting under low sofas and vacuuming well on every floor type.
The compromise: Mopping with plain water is patchier, and one tester found it snagged on cables.

P50 Pro Ultra
£130.95 more than the DEEBOT T50 PRO OMNI Gen3
Why consider it: Excellent on hard floors, with a hotter mop wash and mops it can leave in the dock.
The compromise: At 10.38cm it's much taller, and the two lab tests disagree about carpet.

Omni C20
£100.95 more than the DEEBOT T50 PRO OMNI Gen3
Why consider it: Slim at 8.5cm, good on hard floors, with a dock that empties and washes the pads.
The compromise: It can't see small obstacles, so you need to tidy up first.
