The best robot vacuums for pet hair in the UK
We have not run our own hair-pickup tests, and we don't pretend to. These seven were chosen on verified features that matter in a home with animals — a camera that recognises pet accidents, mops that stay off the carpet, a bin that lasts months and a dock that washes hair out of the pads hot — and on reviews of the exact model.

How we chose
Three separate signals, never one invented score. Read the full method.
- We have not tested hair pickup ourselves. Picks are chosen on verified features that matter with pets and on reviews of the exact model, and we say so on the page.
- Obstacle recognition — a camera or 3D sensor — is weighted highly because a robot that spreads a pet accident is worse than no robot.
- Mop lift or detachment is required for a carpeted home; every pick here has one or the other.
- Prices were read from the seller's page in a browser on the date shown. Specifications are shown only where sources agree.
- Some links may become paid affiliate links in future and will be labelled. Commission never changes the order.
Questions people ask
Which robot vacuum is best for dog hair?
The Dreame X50 Ultra for most homes: the most independently recommended robot in our research, with a 100-day bin so hair does not fill it weekly. On carpet, the Roborock Saros 10's detaching mop is the safer choice.
Do I need a camera if I have pets?
It is the feature that recognises a pet accident and steers round it. LiDAR-only robots like the eufy C28 avoid furniture but not a mess. If privacy matters more, accept that trade-off knowingly.
Does suction matter for pet hair?
Less than brush design and carpet detection, and the numbers are not comparable across brands — Shark does not publish Pa at all. We show the claimed figure where it is confirmed, but we do not rank on it.
How often will I empty the bin?
The docks here claim 60 to 100 days between bag changes for an average home. With shedding pets expect less; the X50 Ultra's 100-day claim and 3.2L bag are the largest in this list.
