L60 Ultra PE
The value pick of Dreame's L60 range, and one of the best carpet and pet-hair cleaners Vacuum Wars has measured. It's tall, though, it only manages low door bars, and its mopping is gentle.

The short version
The L60 Ultra PE (Performance Edition) sits third in Dreame's four-model L60 family, below the Pro Ultra and the L60 Ultra and above the entry FE. It keeps the parts that save you work: a dock that empties the bin, washes the mop pads in very hot water, dries them and sends the robot back if the wash water comes out dirty. There's also a front camera for spotting clutter and an arm that swings the mop and side brush into corners.
The savings show in height and climbing. It's over 10cm tall with a fixed laser on top, so it won't fit under many sofas, and one test saw it stop at a 25mm step. Its mopping leaves floors barely damp, which is kind to wood but weak on dried stains.
Of the markets we cover, it's only sold in the US so far.
Our take: A strong choice for a home with carpets, rugs and a moulting pet, as long as the floors between rooms are fairly flat and your furniture sits high. If you have raised thresholds or low sofas, pay more for the L60 Pro Ultra. If you mostly need sticky kitchen floors scrubbed, look for a robot that mops harder, such as a roller-mop model.

What reviewers found
Three tests so far. Vacuum Wars measured it in its studio, Root-Nation used it in a split-level home and Just A Dad Approved ran it for 90 days. All three like the vacuuming, the tangle-resistant brushes and the dock. Vacuum Wars found stain removal below average, while Root-Nation was happy with the mopping. They also disagree on door bars, and Just A Dad Approved had the bin clog once with heavy hair.

Superb on carpet and pet hair
Vacuum Wars measured 94% of sand removed from medium-pile carpet, its second-highest result from nearly 200 robots, plus 100% of flattened pet hair and no hair wrapped round the brushes. That beat the pricier L60 Pro Ultra on both counts. Oddly, its bench suction and airflow figures were low, yet that didn't show up in the cleaning. Root-Nation also praised the anti-tangle brushes. If carpet and pets are your main battle, this is the headline.
Gentle mopping
Vacuum Wars scored stain removal at 85 against a 108 average, because it puts down very little water: about a quarter of the average, even on the higher setting. Root-Nation liked that the pads press down and reach the skirting, and that the mop lifts to keep rugs dry. Both can be true. It's safe for wooden floors and fine for regular light mopping, but dried-on marks will need a hand.
Door bars: tests disagree
Dreame rates it for 2.2cm on a single step, per the specifications. Vacuum Wars saw it cross 19mm but fail at 25mm, and advises treating the rating as a firm limit. Root-Nation said it cleared door frames and rug edges without hesitation, but didn't measure them. Just A Dad Approved advises against it for transitions of about 1.5 inches or more. Measure your thresholds: anything much over 2cm points to the Pro Ultra.
Good at dodging clutter
Vacuum Wars recorded 21 of 24 objects avoided against an average of 16, and notes the cheaper FE managed only 2. Root-Nation saw it steer round cables, shoes, pet toys and chair legs. Just A Dad Approved was a little cooler, calling it solid for everyday clutter but a step behind the Pro Ultra. A quick tidy before each run is still sensible.
Watch the auto-empty with heavy hair
Just A Dad Approved had the robot's bin clog once in 90 days with a heavy hair load, and felt the dock's suction was the weak link for multi-pet homes. Vacuum Wars notes the onboard bin is small, so the dock matters. On the plus side, Root-Nation liked that the dock checks the wash water and sends the robot back to re-mop areas when the mops get too dirty, so busy rooms get a second go without you asking.

How does it handle rugs and door bars?
Rugs are fine: the mop lifts to keep them dry, according to Root-Nation. Door bars are the limit. Vacuum Wars saw it cross 19mm but fail at 25mm, and Dreame's own single-step rating is 2.2cm, per the specifications. Taller or stepped thresholds need the L60 Pro Ultra.
Does it fit under low furniture?
Often not. It's 10.38cm tall with a fixed laser on top, per the specifications, which is taller than most of the L60 family. Measure the gap under your sofa and bed before buying; you need a little more than that to be safe.
Will it avoid cables and pet mess?
Mostly. Vacuum Wars recorded 21 of 24 objects avoided, and Root-Nation saw it steer round cables, shoes and toys. Neither test shows it's safe around pet accidents, so check the floor first if your pet is prone to them.
How often do I have to empty or refill anything?
Rarely. The dock empties the 250ml bin into a 3.2L bag Dreame says lasts up to 100 days, and holds 4.5L of clean and 4L of dirty water, per the specifications. Just A Dad Approved had one clog with heavy pet hair, so check the bin now and then.
Does it need a subscription or an account?
You need the Dreame app, but Root-Nation found room controls, multi-floor maps and carpet detection all work without a premium subscription. Vacuum Wars confirms Matter support and built-in voice control, so you can also run it from other smart-home apps.
