Four tests, and they don't agree. Vacuum Wars bought one and gave its obstacle avoidance a perfect score, and TechRadar and The Ambient also found it dodged nearly everything and mopped well. After twelve weeks, Lyd & Bilde found the object recognition mostly wrong, the routes confused and the dock leaking. Most found vacuuming and edges no better than average, though The Ambient was happier with pickup. The tests date from 2024, so software may have changed since.

Avoidance: brilliant or baffled
Vacuum Wars recorded a rare perfect obstacle score, tied for first in its database. TechRadar saw it avoid every obstacle, including a fake dog poo, though it kept reporting a plate that wasn't there, and The Ambient had it steer round shoes, cables and fake pet mess. Lyd & Bilde had the opposite experience: it was 64% sure a cardboard box was mould, drove illogical routes and started refusing a coffee table it had cleaned under before. None of the reviews explains the gap, so watch it closely at first.
Good mopping, steam-cleaned pads
The spinning pads are its strongest point. TechRadar found it cleared wet coffee, dried coffee and sticky juice, needing a few laps for the dried spills, and Vacuum Wars saw a dried coffee stain go in one pass. The Ambient needed three passes for dried ketchup. Lyd & Bilde liked the pads but found its extra-pass stain setting left marks behind. After each run the dock steams, washes and dries the pads, which TechRadar said left them good as new.
Vacuuming and edges: mostly average
TechRadar saw about 80% of the cornflour left on carpet after the first pass and about 20% after three attempts, with a thick rug left visibly dirty. Vacuum Wars rated its power metrics close to average, while The Ambient found it dealt with most dust spills and deep-cleaned carpet. Edges were weak for everyone: TechRadar and The Ambient saw a line of dust left along the sides, Lyd & Bilde found it kept well clear of kitchen units, and Vacuum Wars notes there's no extending brush or mop.
Hair: mixed results
The Ambient had no tangles in a house with several cats and long-haired people. TechRadar found few long hairs on the roller's brushes, but hair wrapped the middle of the roller and bent the bristle side brush out of shape. Vacuum Wars says the roller needs extra attention with hair longer than about 18cm, and Lyd & Bilde found pet hair hopelessly wound round the support wheel. If you have long hair or pets, plan on regular checks underneath.
Software bugs and faulty units
TechRadar replaced its first unit after it dropped and lost track of its mop pads and failed to show live monitoring. The replacement was better, but live view stayed unreliable on iOS. Lyd & Bilde found water on its parquet after twelve weeks and got repeated dock warnings. A couple of 2024 tests can't give you a failure rate or tell you whether later software fixed things. Even so, the leaks and faults make it a harder buy.

Should you buy the Bespoke AI Jet Bot Combo AI Steam+?
Best for: SmartThings households wanting hard floors mopped. Skip it if: You need dependable unattended cleaning.
The mopping and SmartThings integration may appeal, but reported leaks, faulty units and conflicting avoidance tests make this a cautious choice. These tests date from 2024; they do not establish current software behaviour. Compare the eufy Omni S2 for carpet cleaning and the Saros 10R for obstacle avoidance, while checking each model's own limitations.
This was Samsung's first Jet Bot with a full washing dock. A camera and 3D sensors let it recognise objects and stains, two spinning pads do the mopping, and the dock empties the bin, refills the water, washes the pads with hot water and steam and dries them. It runs through Samsung's SmartThings app, and its claimed suction is about half what many premium rivals quote. Samsung UK now lists it as no longer available, so you'll mostly find remaining stock.

Will it avoid cables and pet mess?
Don't rely on it around pet accidents. Vacuum Wars gave avoidance a perfect score and TechRadar saw it avoid fake dog mess, but Lyd & Bilde found object recognition unreliable. Clear cables, small objects and any pet mess before it cleans.
Does it fit under low furniture?
Samsung lists a total height of 10cm, per the specifications. Measure your lowest gap and leave extra room for movement. TechRadar describes a raised laser dome, but that's already included in Samsung's overall figure, so don't add it on top.
Can it leave the mops in the dock for carpet?
Yes. The Ambient found it lifts the pads 10mm over low-pile carpet and drops them at the dock before vacuuming deeper carpet, and TechRadar saw the lifting work perfectly throughout testing. It's one of its more useful tricks for mixed floors.
How big is the dock, and is it loud?
The dock is very big: 44.4 x 54.7 x 51cm, which TechRadar called a behemoth, and Lyd & Bilde said it was the largest it had seen. The robot itself is quiet; The Ambient measured 59.1dB while cleaning.
Is the camera always on?
The cameras and microphone are active by default, and TechRadar says the robot won't work without the cameras, so you'd have to switch the microphone off manually if that bothers you. The camera also powers pet and home monitoring through the app.
How often do I have to empty or refill anything?
The dock cuts down daily chores, but how often you step in depends on use. Lyd & Bilde dealt with the water every couple of weeks during its test, and The Ambient emptied dirty water whenever it refilled the 4-litre clean tank. Check the water tanks, bag, brushes and filters regularly rather than treating those test intervals as a schedule.
