V3
2 independent reviewsRead the findings →Sunseeker's entry-level camera-guided mower: put the dock down and it starts mowing, with no wire, aerial or map. It suits small, mostly flat lawns with clear borders. Small dips in the lawn can trap it.

What reviewers found
Trusted Reviews and techreviewer.de both had the V3 mowing within minutes and liked how it spotted obstacles. Both also saw it caught in dips: the German tester's unit freed itself, while the UK tester sometimes had to help. Edges split them, with trimming needed around the UK lawn's plants and closer cutting on the German lawn. Neither unit offered a map for picking areas or drawing exclusions.
Trusted Reviews, hands-on, Used as the reviewer's main mower on a flat home lawn, Oct 2025 · techreviewer.de, hands-on, Apr 2025
Cut quality and edges
Mixed resultsBoth testers found the random pattern left no missed patches. Edges split them: Trusted Reviews had to finish plant-lined borders with a trimmer, while techreviewer.de got to about 5cm from the edge on the closest app setting.
Setup and boundaries
Reviewers rate it highlySetup doesn't get much easier: no wire, no aerial and no mapping run. Trusted Reviews just fixed the dock and pressed start, and techreviewer.de went from box to first cut in under 15 minutes, though it broke two plastic ground pegs on hard clay.
Navigation
Reviewers rate it highlyTrusted Reviews found it moved around plants without crashing and covered the lawn evenly, and techreviewer.de saw no unmown patches and no trouble with narrow passages. There's no map, so you can't send it to one spot or draw no-go zones.
Slopes and rough ground
Mixed resultsBoth testers had it caught in small dips. techreviewer.de found it coped with bumps and always freed itself, but on Trusted Reviews's lawn cat-dug hollows needed the odd nudge until they were filled. It suits a flat, even lawn.
Obstacles and safety
Reviewers rate it highlyObstacle spotting is its strong point. Trusted Reviews watched it skirt balls, a person and a neighbour's cat, and techreviewer.de found it reliably avoided toys and branches, with a bump sensor as backup. Tall weeds and overgrown edges can confuse the cameras.
Weather
Not enough evidenceNone of the reviews we use tested it in rain or on wet grass. Trusted Reviews notes an adjustable rain delay, and it has a rain sensor and a camera wiper, per the specifications.
App and software
Mixed resultsThe app works but does little. Trusted Reviews found it quick to connect and simple to schedule, and techreviewer.de found it clear with a handy joystick, but both miss a map, and techreviewer.de noted choppy translations and no live camera view.
Upkeep
Reviewers rate it highlyLow effort. Trusted Reviews found the three blades easy to remove and replace, and techreviewer.de cleaned it with a quick rinse from underneath and swapped blades in a few minutes with a screwdriver.
Reliability and support
Not enough evidenceNeither Trusted Reviews nor techreviewer.de ran it long enough to judge durability or support. What they say about theft tracking applies to the versions they tested, not to the optional mobile accessory and its fees.
Value
Not enough evidenceOnly Trusted Reviews weighed the price, finding it a good deal dearer than the LawnMaster OcuMow 18 but a better navigator with app control. No other review we use judged value.
Verdicts come from independent, hands-on, finished reviews. An area needs at least two of them before we say more than “Not enough evidence”. We don't score robots ourselves. How this works
Mowing within minutes, but no map
Trusted Reviews fixed the dock, plugged it in and started the mower without a mapping run. techreviewer.de went from unboxing to mowing in under 15 minutes, though two ground pegs broke on hard clay. You still have some physical setup: position and secure the dock, then mark unclear borders or beds you want left alone with magnetic strips. techreviewer.de found the bright strips stood out in a tidy garden.
Very good at avoiding things
Both testers were impressed here. Trusted Reviews watched it skirt round balls, stop and steer round the reviewer walking on the lawn, and ease past a neighbour's cat. techreviewer.de found it reliably spotted toys and stray branches, with a bump sensor as a backstop that makes it stop, back up and turn. Tall weeds and overgrown kerbs are the weak spot, as techreviewer.de found they could confuse the cameras, so keep the edges trimmed. Sunseeker says it's designed to mow in daylight only.
Small dips can catch it
Both reviewers had it stuck in hollows. On Trusted Reviews's lawn, holes dug by cats caught it. It rocked its wheels back and forth to free itself but sometimes needed a nudge, and filling the dips fixed it. techreviewer.de found it coped with bumps and only occasionally got stuck in small dips, always freeing itself. Neither had trouble on flat ground. If your lawn is lumpy or pets dig it, level the worst spots before you buy.
Edges: the testers disagree
Trusted Reviews wasn't impressed at the edges. The narrow cutting disc sits in the middle of the body, so it had to go round the border with a trimmer, and it says the Husqvarna 305E Nera cuts much closer. techreviewer.de found it followed lawn edges with pleasing precision, getting to about 5cm on the lowest edge-distance setting. The borders may explain it: plants on one lawn, and the app's setting on the other. There's also a ride-on-edge option for flat paths.
Random pattern, short runs, quiet
It mows in a random pattern rather than stripes. Trusted Reviews found that covered its lawn evenly with no missed tufts, and techreviewer.de saw no unmown patches either, though you don't get a neat striped look. techreviewer.de got about 65 minutes per charge. It heads home at 30%, charges for about half an hour and carries on, which worked every time. Both found it very quiet, and techreviewer.de rinses it clean from underneath with a hose.
This page covers the V3 (600m²), sold as the V3 ReadyGo in the US. The V3 Plus is a bigger-battery sibling that neither tester used.
Our take
Should you buy the V3?
Best for: Small, flat lawns with clear borders. Skip it if: Your lawn has several awkward sections or unclear borders.
The V3 suits a small, mostly flat lawn with clear borders if you want to avoid mapping it first. Fill troublesome hollows and expect some edge trimming. The eufy E15 and Navimow i1 add maps and zones, with their own grip or satellite-reception limitations. Their theft tracking needs optional mobile hardware and service, so include those extras when comparing.
The V3, sold as the V3 ReadyGo in the US, has no wire, no aerial and no map. Two cameras on the front find the edge of the lawn and anything in the way, and it mows in a random pattern until the battery runs low. Magnetic strips in the box mark beds or open edges it cannot see, and it works in daylight only.
Both testers had it mowing within minutes of unboxing. Trusted Reviews just fixed the dock and pressed start, and techreviewer.de broke two plastic ground pegs on hard clay but was cutting soon after. Obstacle spotting impressed both: Trusted Reviews watched it skirt balls, a person and a neighbour's cat, and techreviewer.de found it reliably avoided toys and branches. Both had it caught in small dips, though techreviewer.de's always freed itself while Trusted Reviews had to nudge it out of cat-dug hollows until they were filled. Edges split them, as Trusted Reviews finished plant-lined borders with a trimmer while techreviewer.de got to about 5cm from the edge on the closest setting. Without a map you cannot send it to one spot or draw no-go zones, and techreviewer.de notes there is no GPS tracking if it is stolen.
Before you buy
The questions people ask about this one
Does it need a boundary wire?
No. Its two cameras recognise the edge of the lawn, per the specifications. Where there's no clear border, or around flowerbeds, you peg down the magnetic strip from the box. Trusted Reviews had to lay some to stop it cutting wild flowers, and the mower turned round as soon as it reached the strip.
Will it cope with my slope?
Sunseeker claims 42% grade, about 23°, per the specifications. techreviewer.de described it handling inclines but gave no measured angle. Both reviews found small hollows could trap it, and Trusted Reviews sometimes had to help. On this evidence, it's best on a mostly flat, even lawn.
Can it handle two lawns or a narrow passage?
Yes, with help. You place the two magnetic tags on either side of a path, pointing at each other, and it crosses to the next area, as Trusted Reviews describes. techreviewer.de found it got through its garden's narrow passages without trouble. There's no map, so it can't follow a route you draw.
What happens when it rains?
It has a rain sensor and an adjustable delay before it starts again, according to Trusted Reviews. Neither review tested how it behaves in rain. The IPX5 rating is about water resistance, not how well it mows wet grass the specifications. techreviewer.de cleaned the underside with a hose.
Do I have to pay a subscription for 4G or anti-theft?
The reviewed units had no GPS tracking or mobile-data module: techreviewer.de described PIN protection, and Trusted Reviews found no mobile option. The US store now lists optional 4G Sunseeker. Neither review covers its tracking features or service fees, so check the accessory and current terms before buying it for theft recovery.
Alternatives
Other robot lawn mowers to compare.

E15 Robot Lawn Mower
Why consider it: It also sets itself up with cameras alone, but builds an editable map with zones, for lawns up to 800m².
The compromise: Testers with bumpy or damp lawns had it slipping and getting stuck.

i1 series (i105E, i105N, i108E, i110N)
Why consider it: Four reviewers liked its tidy striped cut and easy app on small lawns.
The compromise: It needs an aerial with a clear view of the sky, and it still leaves a strip at the edges.

YUKA mini (500, 600, 700, 800)
Why consider it: Three reviewers got a neat straight-line cut and good obstacle spotting on small lawns.
The compromise: Soft or wet ground makes it slip and scuff the grass.
